And then there were none... :-(06 Aug 2003 12:29 GMT13
I buried Polly with Katie in the backyard a little while ago.  Ferret count
is now at zero.  I had adopted them together, as bonded cagemates in April
of '97, when they were about 9-10 months old.
I lost Katie to kidney failure nearly two years ago.  Polly, now about 7,
Kylie Update06 Aug 2003 11:43 GMT12
Kylie is eating on her own and last night I took her outside for a short
walk (one of those where I carry her away from the house and she runs back
home ;-).  When we got back home, her little feet were black because of new
asphalt on the walkway, so I gave her a bath.  Lo and ...

first got him, not as "hyper".
He will play then, as the person in the post a coouple back said, he'll just
lay down,  wait a minute then is back at it.  Yesterday it was his bed time

surgery where i work - i've been tryin hard to find his owner, but as yet,
no luck. So, i've taken the little guy home myself....
I have another ferret, Sandy, who i got at 9 mths old - he was a rescue and

Kylie Update03 Aug 2003 22:45 GMT10
This morning she will walk around slowly, but is only interested in getting
underneath my chair and staying there.   She has a HUGE deep red area
between her shoulders and down her back and I'm not sure if it's from the
actual shot itself yesterday or if it is from the subQ fluids ...

I brought home PJ from the the vet on Friday. He had exploratory surgery to see
if he had cancer which he thankfully does not, but it looks like he does have
Helicobacter. He was prescribed Biaxin, Chloramphenicol, Metronidazole, and
Prilosec. The Prilosec is supposed to be given ...
Back again...03 Aug 2003 06:08 GMT4
Greetings group. Due to a comp crash (hacking; virus?), I've been
off-line close to two months, but I'M BACK!  :o) Bart and Victoria are
as fine as ever (as are the cats), and I'm no worse for wear, either.
I've missed all my online ferret friends greatly, and I'm about caught
Kylie Almost Died!03 Aug 2003 02:06 GMT21
Took Kylie to the vet this afternoon for her distemper vaccine.  About 1
minute after receiving it, she got bright beet red, started drooling,
bleeding from the rectum, and went totally limp in my arms.  It all happened
sooo fast!    Fortunately the vet was standing right there ...

Feeder Mice02 Aug 2003 17:04 GMT10
Okay, I'm going to say straight out that CJ and so and so and whomever
doesn't approve of giving their ferrets live food, please stay out of this
one. I'm not looking for a flame war.
Anyway, I'm getting a third ferret soon. Both Lily and Loki when I got them,
