I think it's blooming great, and more to the point, so do the ferrets. I
brought the prototype home today and after some tweaking, put the ferrets

Funny how this babe will post about the five other ferret hackers but
not yourself.   Me is so bad.  You were so f.cking easy to find out that
this babe can't help myself.

HELP PLEASE!!!10 Sep 2003 05:52 GMT7
We have 2 ferrets, male & female both about 3,5 months old. Today afternoon
he started to act very strange. In one moment he was playing and running
around the house, and after about 2 hours, he went behind a closet and there
was no way to get him out of there. In fact it looks to ...

Posting about a loss again...too soon.
After losing one to Adrenal, and irionically having our second fert checked
RIGHT after, this weekend, 3 days before his next checkup, I came home to
find Gideon with the dreaded green poop and not much of it. He was obviously

Are those choclolates that are made for hampsters, and such ok for ferrets
to eat.  If you know of any other tasty sweet treats, I would like to know.
Thanks for any help.

While dosing my oldest every morning and evening, I've noticed some
jealousy from the younger two, and a thought occurred to me... Why not
"dose" them w/ water while I'm at it? I'm up, they're up, the door's
open, and they've got the "gimme some too" look going. I give them the

For any of you who were keeping up with little SnoCap, when Barb went to
feed her today, she found her dead.  ;o(

Fish!08 Sep 2003 23:32 GMT5
Having accidently discovered that my little guy is partial to a bit of
mackeral on toast (amazing what the little sod will steal when yer not
looking!) i was wondering - is it ok to feed ferrrets fish? Raw or cooked?
He REALLY seemed to enjoy the bit he got away with ;)
Trying to decide07 Sep 2003 23:55 GMT14
When someone else posts about a terminally ill ferret it's easy to give
advice.  It's not so easy when it's one of your own.  Lets assume I really
do take my ferrets to the vet for proper treatment.
I have 4 terminally ill ferrets.  Nothing is going to change that.

I have a question for you.  May gross out a few folks when you answer.  I am
doing some serious research on mink and a found a great book, Mink by Nigel
Dunstone.  In it he says mink hunt like polecats, when they hunt on land.
Any experiences you'd care to share on how ...

Note: This has nothing to do with KG, and is not intended to cause more
grief. The timing might be a bit awkward, but it's of interest to mink
owners.

Melatonin dosage and timing?05 Sep 2003 04:39 GMT10
What dosage and time do you give your ferrets melatonin?  I've got the
liquid kind, which says 4 droppers = 1 mg.  I've heard 8 hours after
sun-rise.  Is this right?

Ferrets and Fire05 Sep 2003 01:22 GMT6
I hope that I don't seem morbid with this post.  The other night I was
watching the news and there was a fire in an apartment complex.  It got me
thinking I live in an one bedroom apartment what happens if there is a fire
when I am sleeping (ferret's cage is in a different room) of ...
Update on insulinoma ferret04 Sep 2003 17:47 GMT11
Hi all...
This is about Mango. He just had his recheck and his x-rays
(radiograph) showed no problems physically with him, so he must have
had a small stroke. He leans on the left side and is uncoordinated on
