Can fuzzies see color?  I know their vision is very poor; being extremely
nearsighted, but can they perceive colors?

bulldog?31 Oct 2003 05:41 GMT2
Someone who knows please describe for me again the characteristics of the
"bulldog" build variety please.
I think our Boris may be one.  He's got a head that is noticably larger than
our other male, Gadget, he weighs 4lbs. and is not quite a year old yet.
Ferret depression 30 Oct 2003 23:01 GMT2
I started out with my ferret Rascal, thinking he needed a friend,  I found a
rescue in League City, Texas and they got me in contact with a Person about
90 miles away.  There were two and I hated to separate them so I took them
both, Roxy and Rusty.  Roxy is a petite little girl ...
2 ferret questions30 Oct 2003 18:28 GMT17
Ok I have 2 quick questions for "yall" this morning:
Is it possible to teach a ferret to fetch?  How do you?  Is there a
site that says how?  I never taught a dog anything so please dont say
"the same way you teach dogs".
new ferret dies29 Oct 2003 09:48 GMT16
Just wanted to share a sad story.  I got 3 ferrets a couple days ago -
2 to keep, and 1 for a friend to replace theirs that died last week of
old age.  I'm new to ferrets, so I didn't recognize the first sign of
a serious problem.  I thought it was cute how one spread eagle on the
training a young ferret not to bite28 Oct 2003 21:44 GMT55
My new 7-week-old male ferret likes to bite - usually not hard, but it
likes fingers.  It also goes after socks and feet, and bites harder -
probably thinking it's something to play with.  How do you convince it
that's not acceptable?  I've been tapping it somewhat lightly on the
Totally Ferret28 Oct 2003 17:43 GMT11
Does anyone find Totally Ferret to be the best food in the world?  I
told my vet I used to feed them that, and she told me I should switch
back.  It's such a wonderful food according to her.  But it's an
overpriced food according to me.
Ferret math, quarantine and cage questions 28 Oct 2003 17:36 GMT3
Hi, all!
We may be getting a new ferret soon.  It was purchased (admittedly) on
impulse by a young couple with no knowledge of ferrets.  They discovered
that they do not like it's odor and are unwilling to fund even basic

Heart worms28 Oct 2003 15:58 GMT8
Is it nessacary to give ferrets heart worm medicine?
This was recommended by a ferret rescue org.
Just wanted to get your feedback on this, as my Vet never mentioned it.
If it makes a difference I'm in Texas, USA.
Ferret tattoo, can anyone identify? Not marshall's?28 Oct 2003 13:13 GMT7
I just went to a ferret halloween party, and one of the people there who
knows a lot about ferrets looked at IJsbrand's ear, because he's a little
different looking (very big, over 3 pounds even though he's not overweight,
with a VERY short tail), to look at his tattoo. I'd seen ...
ferret size28 Oct 2003 13:09 GMT2
We have 3 fur balls around our house. Two of them are reasonably lean, with
a typical ferret pear drop shape. The third one (also a female) is huge, and
bigger than some hobs I've seen. She has the correct shape, but probably is
twice the size and weight of her two cagemates. Anyone ...
Got my little ferret  was: Will it keep me awake?28 Oct 2003 12:47 GMT3
Ok, so I got my weasel on Friday night, before I read these replies,
and I am glad.  Im already totally attached to her, and she doesnt
keep me awake, and her poop isnt a problem.  And I do have plenty of
time to play with her and give her the attention she needs.  That is
