Blagh! Killjoy me...28 Oct 2003 06:23 GMT19
I think I said this last year, but I would *really* like to ban fireworks.
The 5 week *everyday* firework run has started this weekend. I have one cat
hiding under a chair in a complete panic, four ferrets frightened out of
their wits and LITERALLY jumping 3 feet in the air at times ...

I don't know I have been reading some sites on ferrets in the UK (the isn't
many)  but on a few it say's about in  the UK some people don't recomend
giveing a ferret the distemper shot or the rabies shot as rabies hasent been
in the UK for years and a ferret is unlikely to get ...
Shot Reaction27 Oct 2003 01:44 GMT10
Well there certainly were a lot of messages on my cell phone today; I didn't
get them until after 5:30 p.m., and the first one was from 11:30 a.m.
My girlfriend took the ferrets to our vet today to get their rabies shots
(they got distemper last Saturday).  Well apparently after the ...
ear biting27 Oct 2003 01:22 GMT10
I'm a new ferret owner, and this is my first post in this group.  Is
there a FAQ, or some good informative websites to read?
My first question is about ear biting.  I have 2 ferrets, both male,
ages 8 weeks and 6 months, sharing a multi-level cage (but let out
harmful foods?27 Oct 2003 00:57 GMT3
Is there anything one should NOT feed a ferret?  Anything harmful?
Thanks.

Goodbye "What"27 Oct 2003 00:23 GMT15
After a yearlong battle with lymphoma, What peacefully died in his sleep.
Thanks to an excellent vet, the quality of his life was pretty good except
for his last week or so.  Most of you don't know him.  Lisa has met him a
couple times at the vet's office.

litterbox training25 Oct 2003 12:38 GMT1
I just got 2 young ferrets (2 days ago now), and they seem to rather
use the corners of the cage than the litter box.  I have a triangular
litter box in the bottom corner, 1/2 filled with "Johnny Cat" (blue
bag) and they do use it half the time, and the shelves of the cage the

Lily update25 Oct 2003 00:59 GMT1
I took Lily to the vet today.... a physical exam revealed that her breathing
is slightly ragged and she is a little wheezy. The vet thinks it most likely
that Lily has a mild cold and will look after herself till she is better,
but I'm to keep an eye on her to see if she is getting ...

Hi everybody,
Optical Illusion... just me rambling 24 Oct 2003 18:12 GMT1
Hmm... all this time I thought Micha was the biggest ferret here.  But
after reading all the paperwork from yesterday, it is Zane who is the
big boy of the house.  Weighing in at a whole 2 lbs. 9 oz., he is one
whole once heavier.  But looking at the two you would never guess ...
Weird Question24 Oct 2003 06:17 GMT9
Ok, here's a weird one for ya!
Those of you who own male ferrets - do any of your fuzzies pee standing up?
Max does this sometimes when he's out playing. He'll run over to one of the
litterboxes, put his back feet up on the high back of the litterbox, & pees
