New Vet :)19 Oct 2003 16:38 GMT9
Well I was *supposed* to take all four furballs to the vet this morning.
However, since someone didn't actually turn the alarm last night, I woke up
rather late.  So I was only able to get two of them in today.
I'm really glad I found this lady.  I didn't particularly like my ...

New and Improved...?18 Oct 2003 18:43 GMT12
Well, finally ran out of the old Sheppard and Greene purple bag food.  I had
been doing a slow mix in with the "NEW AND IMPROVED!" stuff, and Sherman
just can't handle whatever the new formula is.  Once we got past a half and
half mix, his digestive system just couldn't hack it.  (I ...

Ferret owner here..  Used to have 4 fuzzy little thieves now there is

happened to the "Not Wild, Just Crazy" comic strip by Jennifer Gall.  Has it
ceased to be??  Also are the comics that were created located ...
The Goose that said no17 Oct 2003 20:32 GMT5
I thought it was time to lighten the mood a bit so i`m gonna share a true story
with you.
Happened about 10 years or so ago and I had recently left the army.I could`nt
go anywhere without my combat camo gear on and that included ferreting.
chicken gravy - method?17 Oct 2003 10:29 GMT4
I decided to make Bob Church's chicken gravy.  I'm using the recipe found in
Ferrets for Dummies, and a hand cranked meat grinder.... boy, I thought
those things were supposed to make things easier!  I've just spent the last
hour grinding raw whole chicken, which isn't easy.  Then I ...

* re: Kylie wants to fly17 Oct 2003 05:35 GMT1
Delta will allow you to take Kyle into couch, in a carrier, if it can
be carried in your lap. This was true prior to 9-11 so double check,
but Delta has always been the most pet-friendly airline.

At my wit's end again - toilet training16 Oct 2003 19:26 GMT2
For the past few months we've had two ferrets (Isis and Zeeba), both female.
They both had a tendency to leave piles of sh.t (excuse my French) here and
there when they were on the loose, however they were thoroughly housebroken
when in their cage. Now one of them steadfastly ...
Invisible Fencing16 Oct 2003 17:09 GMT16
Is there an invisible fencing system that is applicable to ferrets?  I have
never used one.  Are they inhumane?  Would they even be appropriate?
I would love to be able to leave Una out unsupervised for short periods of
time to play in the grass. We have a small backyard with a ...
Questions to ask a new vet16 Oct 2003 04:20 GMT1
I'm not totally satisfied with the vet I'm currently going to.
Tomorrow, all four ferrets are going in for their shots to a different
vet.  I was wondering what questions people tend to ask a new vet.  I
saw this particular vet listed in a list that I found on the Internet
