Wilson didn't have any problems. They called him huge, he gained 80 grams
since we were last there. The vet used ferretvac by merrill? i asked before
i was leaving and he said the other one that was approved he did 60 for a
rescue and out of 60/10 got sick real bad so he is using ...
camera flash bad for ferrets?23 Nov 2003 14:51 GMT2
Anyone know if the flash on a standard camera is bad for ferrets eyes,
particularly albinos?  I don't mean right up close but maybe a few
feet away?
thanks,
Semi OT: Adoption w/ exotic pets22 Nov 2003 21:52 GMT2
I can't find the email (or name!) of the APF member who was looking into
adopting two children from abroad, but this news article is about a similar
adoption where the kid is now part of a family with ferrets, reptiles, a
skunk and pigs!

the distemper thing again...21 Nov 2003 05:05 GMT5
OK, I have an appointment for Gadget, our very first weasel, to get his
distemper vaccination this Saturday.
A few weeks back, there was a big discussion about distemper vaccines.
Seems there were several of them, some better tolerated than others.  If
Healthier Ferrets21 Nov 2003 02:16 GMT9
I recently had to put down my older ferret as she was suffering from
insulinoma and lymphoma.  It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do to
an animal.  I never want to go through it again.  Not to say I couldn't if
they were suffering...anyhow...I was talking to my vet and she ...
Danish Ferrets?21 Nov 2003 00:42 GMT14
What are ferrets called in Denmark? Are they popular over there?
I'm asking because I had some houseguests from Denmark last week, and
they seemed fascinated by the ferrets, and hadn't seen them before. They
weren't sure if they had heard of them in Denmark, so I told them I'd
New movie w/ferret!18 Nov 2003 23:27 GMT1
when i saw matrix 3 last nite, there was a preview for a new movie w/ben
stiller and jennifer anniston.  the movie looks horrible, but in it, anniston
has a pet ferret who can't see too well.  its the cutest thing, and seems to
play a big role in the movie.  keep a heads up for it.. ...
Ferret weight18 Nov 2003 13:34 GMT14
We got two ferrets, a male and a female, about two and a half
months ago.  These are our first ferrets.  We've been lurking in this
newsgroup since, and have gotten much useful information (and some not
so useful...).  The male is 20 weeks old; the female is 16 weeks.
Furry albinos and "fur" pancakes17 Nov 2003 22:46 GMT8
Does anyone know. Is it a characteristic of Albino's to have twice as much
fur as others??
My Travi has grown his winter coat so thick this year, he is actually
looking a different shape than normal. And this Winter is milder than the
Ferret show17 Nov 2003 20:53 GMT7
Sat I went to both the ferret show and my son's wedding reception.  The date
of the wedding reception had changed three times.  We went to the ferret
show in the early morning and attended the wedding reception at it's eveing
time.  We even had time to change so we wouldn't smell ...
Ferret "attacks"17 Nov 2003 19:02 GMT3
This is not a troll;  I used to be a ferret owner and have seen this topic
addressed elsewhere on the Web but without a satisfactory explanation other
than, "no pet should be left unattended with small children..."  I was also
interviewed a few years ago by the local TV station ...
whimpering...17 Nov 2003 14:51 GMT12
Is it normal for my fur kids to make little whimpering noises while
wrestling?  No screams, just little whimpers mixed in with the dooks.
The boys get pretty rough with each other when going at it, but so far we've
seen no blood or poo.
nail bleeding16 Nov 2003 22:26 GMT7

how to move ferrets to the UK?16 Nov 2003 21:07 GMT105
Has anyone had any experience moving with ferrets to England?
We're planning to move from Austria to London with our 2 cats and 2 ferrets.
I have read about the PETS scheme, as a way to avoid quarantine, but it only
mentions
