Lupron vs. Surgery31 Jan 2004 21:40 GMT26
Is one better than the other?

non-stop scratching at himself, and has little red scabby looking sores
on his skin.  His vet said we could start giving him Lupron and see if

Adrenal aside...
How would I find out what is causing a ferret's skin to get irritated?
I'm just wondering if a ferret was sensitive to something in their
environment, what steps could one take to figure out what the culprit is.

After a two month absence due to computer problems I've finally made it

ferrets in the washer and dryer...28 Jan 2004 16:33 GMT11
Well, I thought about posting pictures of the ferrets in the washer,
and joking that's how we clean them, but considering responses I got
in the past, I figured it wouldn't go over well with some folks.
However, I did discover something they love.  We have a few small
Haggis28 Jan 2004 03:40 GMT7
It's Burns week here in Scotland and of course we have been celebrating it.
Kenny got the scent of the haggis and went bananas. We gave him about a
teaspoon and he was in ectasy. Eyes closed licking it off my hand. So I
guess he's truly a Scottish Ferret now. Didn't give him the ...

I have no real ferrets of my own, but I adore reading the stories here
(and I too am heartbroken for Vixen).

Help... ANTS!! in my cage!27 Jan 2004 21:48 GMT7
Help! I'm going mental-- and so are the small fur ones. Ants are all
over their cage. I clean it and 5 minutes later they're back. Their
water bottle does seem to leak a little bit. But even still they come
for the food, too. How do I safely get rid of these ants?
