A ferret habbitat08 Jan 2004 00:14 GMT6
I saw on Animal Planet <http://animal.discovery.com/> once where someone
had a few cats and had created walkways for them throughout the house.
These walkways where basically boards (very nicely done) hung about
10-12" from the ceiling, and went from room to room-they had ...
What do you feed your ferret07 Jan 2004 17:41 GMT6
I've been reading and reading and of course everything you read
suggests something different. So I give the question to the group,
What do you feed your ferrets?
I was hit by ferret math through christmas, we had one and wanted to
She shakes when she wakes07 Jan 2004 16:32 GMT6
Does anyone know anything about this.  We have a female albino (white w/ red
eyes).  Every time she wakes up she is shivering or shaking.  It passes in a
few minutes, but i am wondering if this is common or if I should be
concerned.
Litter Tip!07 Jan 2004 04:02 GMT17
Just read on another newsgroup this nifty tip about how to get 'no-error'
litterbox habits from ferrets who are only part-time users.
The person used an 18"x18"x24" rubbermaid-type tub WITH LID and keep the lid
on it.   Cut a couple of holes in each side so they can see out - high

ferret doc06 Jan 2004 03:38 GMT3
I'm not entirely certain that the vet we use is as up on ferrets as he might
be.  If anyone knows of THE local ferret doc in the Oklahoma City area, I'd
sure love to hear from you.
Thanks,

Looks like we'll be headed back to the vet this week.  :(  He was off pred
for maybe a day or two (we ran out) and when we got him back on, it wasn't
two or three days later that he had more lumps on him again.  I've been
working constantly and Jason's been home so he's been letting ...
Heartbroken05 Jan 2004 23:12 GMT11
Friday evening Sadie and Riley came out for their nightly romp.  They both
disappeared after a nice frolic, with mum & dad, the cats and dogs, as per
usual.  They normally go sleep someplace then reappear to play more and eat.
I didn't see Saidie again until last night.  We had ...
Using air cleaners to reduce scent05 Jan 2004 19:25 GMT17
I tried a Hepa air filter today. It seems to help with Ferret odor. Has anyone
tried an ionized filter? Would it do a better job?
I keep the cage clean, clean droppings as they happen and change litter every 2
days. I also wash the bedding twice weekly. Baths once ebery 3-4 months.

Question04 Jan 2004 17:32 GMT9
I just got a ferret for xmas. He is just a baby, and he screams ALOT in his
cage. I thought it was teething, but he still does it. I feed him, clean
him, give him water.... why does he still scream? we dont allow him to
wonder the house, bc of a big mean dog and 2 cats that want ...
Another 1 or 2 ferrets?04 Jan 2004 14:14 GMT5
Back at the beginning of December, Joven curled up for one last long sleep.
He was my first and only ferret for these last 8 years.  In that time he had
no contact with other ferrets, just people and a couple cats (which were his
favorite toys).  I'm not sure Joven even knew he was ...
WARNING Dangerous Cage!!04 Jan 2004 02:41 GMT7
I am cross posting this with permission.  This is a kind hearted lady
that never turns a ferret in need away.  She wants to warn others of what
can happen.
     Hello All,
Short, Silent, Ferret Movie04 Jan 2004 02:11 GMT3
Hi, I've been lurking for a while.
I have a short film taken of our two ferrets for anyone who likes
such items. As the film starts out Butch is on the left with George
to his right. It is about a 3.3 meg avi (that is compressed) 30 s length.
Advice please ASAP03 Jan 2004 12:56 GMT8
