Pics of Thomas' eye after removal07 Mar 2004 23:53 GMT1
He's doing fine.  Up & bouncing around as much as we let him.  Started
putting the clavamox in his food since scruffing is an ordeal right
now.  He's having a little trouble judging the distance between his
mouth & his food dish right now.  I'm sure that will get better with
Apathy, Help (long)07 Mar 2004 23:47 GMT3
I am not  even sure apathy is the right word...
We have had ferrets for over ten years, everything from deaf to
biters, but this has me stumped. And worried.
Sarah is a rescue. According to the owner (and I almost never believe
Does anyone have a homemade cage?07 Mar 2004 23:07 GMT17
I was considering building a cage for our sweet Angie and her soon to
come friend and was wondering if anyone has one (or online free plans
for one) that I can see pictures of, so I can get an idea of what I
want..
introducing new ferret07 Mar 2004 20:03 GMT1
i had my 2 year old hob desexed 2 weeks ago and i am wondering what would be
the best time to introduce him to my 1 year old female.
after the op he is even more nuts than ever, but still is aggressive towards
trying to bite her through the cage.
Note on "Bleeding"07 Mar 2004 17:51 GMT13
You are all totally in the wrong for assuming this guy is lying. I
have had just this very thing happen to mine not just once, but twice.
A ferret going downhill so rapidly, and so fast. Three days? Sure.
Very, very possible. Potatoe, and Snowball both died within days of my
Back to Lymphona07 Mar 2004 14:49 GMT1
I guess some of you know about my boy, Chunky. It has been back and
forth on what his problem is several times now but it keeps coming
back to lymphoma. I'm not gonna get into the whole story again and
what has been done but the vet now thinks 98% he has lymphoma and
how my luna-girl died... >>females producing hormones at 3 months of age<<07 Mar 2004 03:02 GMT8
It is with tears in my eyes that i write you this story, but i think it's
best to share so that it wont happen to you
As I posted before I have 2 neutered boys - Baloo and Bagheera... But once
upon a time they had a girly friend too
plug-in room fresheners06 Mar 2004 22:51 GMT9
Are those scented plug-in room fresheners bad for ferrets?  I read
something lately to that effect...  If so, is it only bad near the
cage, or if the whole room is scented?  TIA...

Onyx crossed the rainbow bridge recently...06 Mar 2004 16:21 GMT9
After a long battle with multiple problems Onyx crossed the rainbow
bridge last week. She was a rescue ferret that I often called a sale
ferret. When I got her three years ago she was missing most of her
fur, had broken teeth and her front legs didn't stand straight. She
Verizon attack ferret commercial06 Mar 2004 13:32 GMT4
Trying to find that Verizon commercial where the ferret latches onto the
guys tongue.
Anyone by any chance have a link to a site that has it?
Can't find it anywhere.
What's she trying to tell me?06 Mar 2004 09:25 GMT8
Is it normal for fuzzies to play "pick me up; no, put me down" over and
over? Avalon endearingly rests her paws against my leg begging to be picked
up, but almost immediately wants to be put down again. Repeat 10 times.
Maybe it's my breath... :)
Super Duper Terrific Vet! (long-ish) Sorry! 06 Mar 2004 09:21 GMT1
But what do you give in appreciation?
Thomas had his left eye enucleated today.  That eye had always had a
slightly "froggy" look to it, but in the last month it had gotten
worse to the point that the right eye was sinking in.  He was rushed
Beware of Dag and Cate06 Mar 2004 05:53 GMT8
Dag and Cate were discovered hacking into my computers and the evidence
is in my E-Book along with five other ferret owners who post here and
they enjoy maliciously hacking into your computers.  Sure hope that all
ferret owners have learned how to secure your computers before ...
Finisky Ferret06 Mar 2004 05:49 GMT4
Well, Miss Bubbles has decided to change standard protocol.  Each morning
the dynamic duo get a little linitone or olive oil in a little condiment
dish.  Just the right size and weight.
Well seems the last two mornings Bubble has decided that she doesn't like it
