Enlarged Spleen Question31 Jul 2004 01:19 GMT8
It's that time of the year again... to take the furballs to the vet and
get their annual shots.  And I know the vet is going to tell me that
Zane's spleen is somewhat enlarged, and should be removed.  Now I'm not
a vet, but I disagree with her opinion in this matter.  Zane does ...

The fuzzies are at their new home.
With three others who are incredibly adorable.  They'll have a good time.
With sadness I bid a fond farewell.

Poorly Ferret - Update29 Jul 2004 16:11 GMT2
Well I got Felix to the vet and a bit of prodding around revealed a lump in
the abdomen. So they kept in him and operated, turned out that his spleen
was very enlarged. So they removed it and latest report is that he's fully
awake, on a drip but is taking some food which is good. ...
kits faeces28 Jul 2004 23:43 GMT4
My newest kit, Samwise, has taupe (grey-brown), well formed, coloured faeces
as apposed to dark brown like my other ferrets.     He is rather a scrawny
ferret at the moment. Could his poos indicate a health problem such as lack
of absorption or something?  He has been with me 24hrs ...
I think they saw me coming28 Jul 2004 22:46 GMT4
Dan arranged to have a pair of ferrets surrendered to us.  A woman in
Walmart saw his ferret Tshirt and asked him if we would like another
pair of ferrets.  Dan gave her our number.  She called called and the
ferrets were dropped off today.
Hmmm...28 Jul 2004 01:34 GMT5
Before I go posting something that looks suspiciously like an ad (for a
cage, not a fuzzy), someone want to remind me whether it's kosher to do
so here in a.p.f.?  I don't have the charter to hand, and I don't happen
to recall seeing any posted in recent memory.  Rather than get ...
We're keeping Gracie27 Jul 2004 10:26 GMT3
I talked to the local ferret shelter about the little biter, Gracie,
we're fostering.  Dan thinks we should keep her.  I believe she's been
bounced around 3 or 4 times.  She is navigating the cage with no
problem, curled up and sleeping with other ferrets in the cage.  She
new ferret Samwise27 Jul 2004 02:54 GMT3
Samwise another new kit, has joined Teddy, Bo Bo and Frodo. He is of mixed
colour and loves to play with toys.  I haven't introduced him to the others
yet, but I don't see a problem there.
I will hear about Frosty's post mortem tomorrow.  I think it probably was a

Not Wild Just Crazy Online27 Jul 2004 02:40 GMT5
I have put Jennifer Gall's comic strip "Not Wild Just Crazy" on my Boomspeed
server. I still have reservations about copyright infringement, so if at any
time someone FINDS Jennifer Gall, please let me know how to reach her
regarding permissions. There IS a disclaimer on the front ...
