Travel Advice/Vet Referrals- Help18 Jul 2004 08:32 GMT2
First, before anyone says anything, yes. We are crazy.
We are selling/have sold our condo and are moving to a trailer. The
time between closing and the actual aquiring of the trailer is almost
a week.
Baby Ferret Biting on Blanket18 Jul 2004 00:16 GMT3
Hello everyone. I just purchased a new baby ferret last night to keep
my 5 month old ferret, Mackey, company. I am assuming the ferret is
around 7 weeks to so. He had just been delivered that day to the pet
store from Marshalls. When I put him in his new cage last night, he
Marshall's ferrets.16 Jul 2004 15:02 GMT43
>Yea, marshalls sucks
This was a comment from a recent post I read on the board here.
On the comment above, I was just curious....I hear a lot of condemnation of
Marshall's.  That is where our Gwen came from and where our four current

Okay;  Everyone check your ingredients on your food for Magnesium and
preservatives.  I have stopped using Totally Ferret.  When I did a
survey on another group, everyone who fed their ferrets totally ferret,
iams, 8 n 1 ultimate, all had a bad history of

Frosty & Frodo are friends no longer.  Frosty whilst playing hide-n-seek
with Frodo, bit him on the front part of the bottom jaw (enough to make
teeth marks) lots of screaming and pouffing.  Frodo now seems terrified of
Frosty and doesn't want to be in the same place as him.  They ...
Gilbert's Temper Tantrum14 Jul 2004 05:55 GMT7
Okay, so I slept in late this morning.  By the time I got to the livingroom,
Gilbert was already at the cage door rattling it and wanting out.
Hmm......I usually like to wake up a LITTLE bit before I have to deal with
fuzzies in destruct mode (typical morning mode).   He's watching
How to make ferrets smell wonderful14 Jul 2004 01:23 GMT21
A few weeks ago, I was in one of those religious/new age/incense shops and
bought a small vial of scented mineral oil.  Yesterday on a lark, I dabbed
a tiny bit on Frettchen, between her shoulders.  She didn't seem to mind
at all, and for the next 24 hours I had a fuzzy, mobile,

Little Frodo is a quick learner.  One evening of flicking him on his conk
and shouting NO and he is cured.  I didn't like doing it but it didn't seem
to cause pain more surprise than anything.
Today, in an unfamiliar area to kit and adult, I introduced them one at a

10 weeks & biting12 Jul 2004 19:24 GMT1
I wonder if your kit is getting enough time to run and play.  Kits have a
LOT of energy and can play for hours if given the chance.  If not given the
chance to get their energy out, they may take it out in biting and other bad
behaviors. He should have lots of balls and stuffies and ...
10 weeks & biting12 Jul 2004 04:13 GMT8
Okay so I have my kit at home.  When I picked him up he seemed very placid
not particularly biting.  He would happily doze on my lap.
After only one week he is a ferocious biting thing.  I haven't played with
him but not very roughly and it was with a teddy.
Governor Asking for Public Opinion on Ferret Bill--Please Call In Support!08 Jul 2004 18:50 GMT4
I just heard that the Governor's office is asking the public's opinion on our

this bill as soon as possible.  Follow the prompts and select the one that asks
for you opionon on legislation.  I just called ...
Ferrets, failed spayings, and ovarian cysts08 Jul 2004 06:14 GMT9
My little ferret has been sick for two months.  Some of you may recall that
a few weeks ago I posted a message asking if anyone could help diagnose
her problem.  This message is to follow up on what's happened; perhaps it
will be of use to others whose little fuzzies happen to get ...
Confusion regarding rabid ferret law.08 Jul 2004 03:56 GMT22
I have a question about the dumb law that states that ferrets must be
automaticly put to sleep if a bite report has been issued.  What if
the ferret bite does not break the skin.  Will the animal still be put
down?  For instance if a ferret is taken to the vet for a routine exam
