| Lost Ferret - Any Suggestions? | 31 Aug 2004 12:20 GMT | 30 |
Sorry, this may get a little long, but am hoping someone who's been in this position can give some tips we may not have thought of yet. We have "lost" a ferret, as in she has literally vanished from our house. We've had 3 ferrets for a couple of years, and lost one to illness last

| Painful Memories. | 31 Aug 2004 07:11 GMT | 6 |
I am having a real problem with something, and although I don't know if or how it would do any good, I thought I would share it with the group and maybe that in itself would be good therapy. Several months ago, I posted several messages to this board concerning our

| We're losing Yoshi | 31 Aug 2004 04:21 GMT | 25 |
Yoshi is approaching the rainbow bridge - he has stopped eating and drinking - become lethargic and can barely move. I may be selfish, but I can't just take him to the vet to meet his end. We're holding a vigil over him tonight - trying desperately to force feed him anything - water ...

| Yoshi crossed the rainbow bridge | 30 Aug 2004 23:29 GMT | 9 |
Yoshi crossed the rainbow bridge about an hour and a half ago. He curled up in a nice warm part of his favorite hammock, snuggled down, and went to sleep. We only had him for a short while, but he is deep in our hearts and will not be forgotten.

| Self litter training | 30 Aug 2004 22:34 GMT | 6 |
After so many stories about how hard it is to get them to litter train, this should be funny. Funny "ironic," not funny "ha ha." Several months back we moved the ferret cage from the front hall into the living room. It's now low enough to the floor that I can put a stool in

Pixleen, my not so charming email stalker has latched onto some factual information, turned it inside out and is accusing me of starving and abusing my ferrets. I will be years living down the fact that my roommate didn't clean her

| Ferret Bill in CA Goes to Governor! Californians Must Act! | 29 Aug 2004 00:50 GMT | 8 |
I have the great pleasure to inform you that SB 89 just passed the California State Assembly today and will now go before Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger! At this time, the vote was 47 in favor, 12 or 13 against (with approximately 20 votes outstanding). I'll know the final vote ...

Okay, considering how incredibly sporadic I've been for ages (haven't even had a newsreader in ages, and only managed to get back once someone kicked me in the head and told me to look at google LOL)... I'm probably showing real gall by posting this.

| Potty Training? | 28 Aug 2004 02:50 GMT | 4 |
We're first-time ferret parents and can't seem to get the little guy to use the litter box. He has his favorite spots, and we've put litter boxes there, but most of the time he goes next to the box, or he moves the box so he can go behind it. Even in his cage there's more out of the ...

| My reputation precedes me, should I worry about tripping? | 27 Aug 2004 21:32 GMT | 3 |
Today was a first. I was actually asked/begged (hard to tell from the written word) to come join a ferret list and reply to a message about a biting ferret that was forwarded to me by another list member. I did. I generally volunteer to asnwer questions online or on lists and

| People Are Stupid | 26 Aug 2004 10:14 GMT | 3 |
Zane and I went to PetSmart tonight. I think it's funny, or sad I'm not sure which, when I hear comments from people concerning ferrets. It's not uncommon to hear someone say something negative or wrong about ferrets when they see me with one. People hear things from other

| did ya miss me? | 25 Aug 2004 16:25 GMT | 2 |
I've been absent for awhile due to visiting my Mommy in WI and then the rest of my family in IL. It was a rough week and a half. ;-) But it was good to see family I hadn't seen in years. Tough to be without all of my furbabies and Jason too. ;-) And wouldn't you know, while I ...

| Max is Adrenal | 25 Aug 2004 05:13 GMT | 6 |
We noticed about 1.5 wks ago, that Max's hair at the base of his tail was getting very thin. Took him to Dr B, who also found those same brownish-pink scaly spots on his upper back that Ariel had when she went adrenal. Got the Tenn Panel back on Fri, & it's no surprise - Max is ...
