Stopped by the pet store......question10 Aug 2004 03:47 GMT7
I stopped by the pet store, yep getting the itch for a fuzzbutt around
again. They had a bunch, but one was mostly a DEW, but had a dark
stripe down it's back and tail, and two matching stripes on it's head.
Not real dark, just the tips on the fur. Any chance of this being a
Felix - aka Poorly Ferret update - still battling on09 Aug 2004 22:41 GMT3
Firstly thanks for all the kind words offered to Felix, I know he's getting
them as the little fella is still hanging in there.
He's at home again - but it's a real challenge keeping him on that recovery
train. I've mad some chicken soup with various caombinations and variations   ...

Who scared who?07 Aug 2004 23:41 GMT2
Wow.  I haven't heard one of the fuzzballs bark in a long, long time.
Today, when I climbed over the doorgate, Zane (who was sleeping
dead-like on the floor) let out a loud screeching bark!  I don't know
who scared who more.  He certainly scared the hell out of me.
sick ferrets07 Aug 2004 20:20 GMT7
The vet has sent of a swab of Bo Bo and Teddy's poo.  It will take a week,
would you believe it ( could be dead by then).  In the meantime have synulox
antibiotics but I cannot get any down them they just go beserk and shake
their heads before I even get a drop in their mouths.  It ...
Poorly Ferret05 Aug 2004 13:09 GMT13
I have a hob, Felix, who's about 6.5 to 7 years old. Almost overnight there
has been a complete change in his behaviour. Whereas before he was your
normal a ferret - into everything more energy than measurable, he's
suddenly become very lethargic, off his food, even seems to be ...
Pixleen declines to post here04 Aug 2004 18:25 GMT8
My little stalker doesn't want to come here.  Because, OMG!!!! I have
friends here.  She won't be able to drag me through the mud and win
her point.
She's "watching" me.  Too bad I can't get her for stalking.
best thing and sad news04 Aug 2004 01:25 GMT15
Frodo the kit is brilliant now.  He has stopped biting and comes for
cuddles.
Frosty, who attacked Frodo and was generally grumpy with him, has died
suddenly in his sleep.   I am having a post mortem done as there were no
Adrenal help03 Aug 2004 19:42 GMT2
I am having such a sh*t time of it just lately.  In March I lost Harry to
multiple tumours.  Just over a week ago I lost Frosty to heart failure no
cause found.  I have two ferrets left Bo Bo and Teddy both seem not their
usual selves.
Best formula for urine deposits? 03 Aug 2004 13:17 GMT7
Mr. Wilson has been missing one of his boxes. It is one that is outside of
the cage. He uses this one 90% of the time. Recently he has been backing up
but not all the way and leaving pee on the rug. Are there any formulas out
there that can help take it up? I have been blotting the ...
Poorly Ferret - Felix - Update2 (and Advice Welcomed)03 Aug 2004 01:04 GMT9
Felix has been home a day now - not sure whose found it tougher me or him.
So far all he's done is sleep - although I'd guess that's normal given the
major surgery he's been through - for those that missed it his spleen was
removed.
Rant -- vaguely ferret related02 Aug 2004 23:25 GMT6
Pixleen has set her sights on me again on a different list.
I am being accused of keeping a skunk as a status symbol pet.  A shy
skunk who harldy ever comes out when people are around and has been
bounced between 4 and 5 homes.  Yep! Big status symbol, if only I
good news and bad news01 Aug 2004 19:18 GMT13
I am going to move to France. I won't be able to take the ferrets :( I'm
already way over quota for the numbers of animals I am allowed to take.
My son may take 3 of them when he gets his new place as his girlfriend was
quite taken with my ferrets. A couple will be pts because they ...
sad story with a 1 in a million happy outcome01 Aug 2004 15:13 GMT8
I have a couple of birds besides my ferrets, and last Sunday my girlfriend
came outside with my Senegal parrot, who needed to have her primary
flight feathers trimmed, so she could not fly away, only flutter down. Just
as I saw her with her, Cricket decided to fly and she took right ...
