In my personal opinion based on recent evicion of Kim Wolf from my
private home should be put on everyone's Do Not Adopt List.  Kim Wolf
is Celtic Critters, formerly Mystyx Critters of Columbus
She left 20 ferrets in my care after she moved out with no
Our boy George09 Sep 2004 20:36 GMT7
George came to us three years ago this month. At the time we figured
we were giving an old man a few good months, maybe a year at most. We
knew he was old then, maybe seven. His teeth were worn, and almost
translucent. He slept a lot, but he was very gentle, and very

safe dirt for dig box09 Sep 2004 04:57 GMT6
I wanted to make a box filled with dirt for my ferts to play in, but all the
potting soil and the like that I've been able to find, have been treated with
chemicals and such for the flowers. Is any of that harmful to my little ones?
Should I just go out into my back yard and dig up ...

How does SB89 work07 Sep 2004 19:41 GMT4
It says you have till July 31 2005 to register.... but do you think when you
register one they will have anyway of identifying it? So say if your ferret
dies, and you get another in 2006, can you just use the same registration?
=) Just get another ferret of the same color etc?
Lazy Zane07 Sep 2004 14:26 GMT4
I'm starting to think that Zane might need the surgery for his spleen.
He is very lazy lately, and likes to sleep a lot.  I don't know if this
is because of the spleen, or because of something else.  He is very
playful when he's not sleeping.  I took him outside yesterday, and to ...

Two new fuzzies arrived today!05 Sep 2004 23:23 GMT1
Well, after 5 months without any ferrets after Espresso crossed over,
Milo and Scooter arrived today. Milo is 2, and Scooter is 5, both are
sables. Milo has a white stripe down his forehead and neck, and a
little white tip on his tail. He has a great expression on his little
Anyone in Florda?05 Sep 2004 15:50 GMT6
If so, batten down the hatches and hide. Hurricane Frances is on its way and
apparently it's a biggun. To all in its path, good luck.
hairball preventatives?05 Sep 2004 04:26 GMT5
I understand that ferrets do not cough up hairballs like cats do, and can
become sucseptable to hairballs if not aided in passing the hair they swallow.
I have purchased a product called Laxatone, and feed each of my four ferts 1/4
teaspoon two times a week.
Yellow Ferett?04 Sep 2004 04:13 GMT8
I was fortunate to find an adolescent ferret in my backyard! Now, of course,
he's an indoor pet. His color is basically silver with some black mixed in
on the lower half. Paradoxically, he has some yellow/orange coloration mixed
in over parts of his body. When I first found him ...
