Seamus Update01 Nov 2004 00:12 GMT2
Well, he saw not one, but two vets today - second and third opinions.  The

treatment (hey - it worked for Kiwi!), but she's also an accredited vet,
just not a ferret expert.  But the first was a very good ferret ...

Hey Folks,
I don't post here much, but I am constantly lurking.
And I cry every time I see a posting about another ferret at the Rainbow
Bridge.

Very Belated Felix Update28 Oct 2004 00:33 GMT2
I posted a while ago regarding Felix the poorly ferret. What with an excess
of work I've not been able to update people.
Firstly I'd like to thank all of those who offered there thoughts and help.
As it turned out the sudden illness was due to an enlarged spleen,

Ferrets are the MEAT of the future ! ! ! !27 Oct 2004 10:22 GMT8
Because of various diseases, cows, pigs and chicken will become inedible.

hopefully you can help me.
I have two wonderful ferrets - Buster who is about 3 yrs and Monte who is 2

Good Food.27 Oct 2004 03:57 GMT11
So, in the current stage of my research, I went to pet stores to find
some good foods for my eventual ferret purchace.  I was not enthused
in what I found.  Looking at the ferret and kitten foods there, the
only food I saw that did not have plant material of some kind (corn
Milo and Scooter27 Oct 2004 02:30 GMT5
Well, the new "rescued" pair have fit themselves right at home! Great
little personalities. Scooter is a "normal" sable, a somewhat slight
boy of around 5yrs. Great energy, but he loves to be cuddled for up to
15 seconds at a time!
I'm Back - With A Problem27 Oct 2004 01:41 GMT16
Hi, guys - it's me, Irish Jo, with a new address.  Been out of circulation a
while (working long hours, PC problems, blah, blah), but all was well until
today.  Something's wrong with Seamus.  He's been quiet the past few days,
but it's not uncommon for him to go through active ...

I work as a veterinary nurse and have had a single pet ferret for
nearly 2 years now - had been thinking for a while of getting him a
playmate. A few mths ago a stray was handed into the surgery. She was
in season and had been for quite some time, was beginning to lose her
