Pet boarding services29 Dec 2004 21:27 GMT12
My son attends college in NC and is traveling home to WA for Christmas.  The
flights are full and the airline cannot take another carry-on pet in the
cabin.  Accordingly, he needs to leave his precious 6 mos old male furball,
Bacchus, behind for almost 2 weeks.  The two options are:

I am hoping that someone may have had a similar issue and be able to help.  Our
boy Bodie is 6 years old and seems to be having a breathing problem or maybe
allergies???
It started about a year ago and he will all of the sudden close his eyes, stick

Question about vet visits23 Dec 2004 05:03 GMT10
My fiancé has had ferrets before as pets (2 to be exact and they both lived
to be a health old age of at least 6 – the one even a little bit older).
My little baby has already been spayed and had her "first shots".  And I
have a free vet visit from the pet shop that I got her from ...

I can't say much right now as I am leaving town in a few minutes for
the weekend, but I wanted to let everyone know that Sunshine passed on
late last night.
I'm crying too much to type now,

Whimpering nearly a 6 year old ferret19 Dec 2004 02:01 GMT6
Just curious as to why one of our nearly 6 year old ferret whimpers all
the time and she never really made any noise?  She is still very active
as usual and nothing seems to be different with her besides this
whimpering all the time.  What's up with this?
Back to the vet18 Dec 2004 11:27 GMT10
Sherman got to go back to the vet today.
He had a "tilting" problem about a month ago that our Country vet attributed
to a possible ear infection/virus.  Although, his ears looked clear, he had
a little chest congestion.  Amoxicillin for 2 weeks - Bubbles on for 1 week

Sunshine update17 Dec 2004 17:55 GMT7
Had her in today to have blood drawn and urinalysis done.  They had to
send the blood off to a lab and won't have results til the end of the
week, but they did the UA in-house.  It showed that she has blood in
her urine.  They tested both the sample that I brought them and the one
Tumor in the tail17 Dec 2004 17:47 GMT7
One of my ferrets (Spiff) has developed some kinda of toumor on her
tail.
It started as a broken tail (I am guessing it was shut in a door)
As the fracture healed, cartilage built up around the break. This is
Restless nights17 Dec 2004 12:49 GMT16
I am a new ferret owner - just got her four days ago (only 11 weeks old).
Love her dearly – she’s like a member of the family.  Currently I have her
in a cage in my bedroom.  We let her out in the mornings and as soon as we
get home from work each day to let her run around and play ...
fluffed out hair16 Dec 2004 16:49 GMT5
One of my daughters ferrets fluffs out it's hair much of the time. This is
most noticeable on the tail. She has three all sisters from the same litter.
Any reason or is it just naturally nervous?
