First visit to the vet12 Mar 2005 21:17 GMT2
Our Bacchus is now 9 mos old, a sable-blaze hob bought from Petco (Marshall)
last August.  He's been scratching at his ears first thing in the morning,
but otherwise fat, happy and apparently healthy.
Here in the Seattle area, we have a ferret rescue operation.  I checked
I Am Your Ferret.....12 Mar 2005 05:25 GMT4
I Am Your Ferret
I am your ferret, and I have a little something I'd
like to whisper in your ear. I know that you humans
lead busy lives. Some have to work, some have children
My Ferret is Dying10 Mar 2005 17:34 GMT6
I currently have three ferrets.  Previously I had one die, Jack Ferret,
from congenital heart failure at about one year old.  It was a Marshal
Farms, and so he was replaced under the warranty, but not until we had
spent approx. $500.00 trying to save him.  We replaced him with Sam, ...

Some do. Some don't. A person would have to be an
idiot not to understand something as basic as that.
Help for a sick,  aggressive ferret08 Mar 2005 18:50 GMT7
We have a 6-year old white male ferret who became sick about a month and a
half ago (almost 2 months now). He had some sort of stomach trouble. We had
him on antibiotic and medicine for his stomach and tried flagyl (which we
could not get in him at all). We hand fed him and gave ...
I Miss Cap and Debbie- Are they married?08 Mar 2005 10:10 GMT3
Those two were so sweet. One through sand in its eyes, and the other whipped
it off. Such a sweet couple. One watched them crap, and the other scooped it
out One threw it in the air, and the other caught it...
To be continued---ROFLOL.
Fiona goes to the vet06 Mar 2005 21:58 GMT6
Finona the rescue ferret went to the vet yesterday.  She got a clean
bill of health, except for being deaf and suffering from a trauma that
has her head tilted sideways.
We got a referral to a people chiropracter who treats animals.  The
peculiar behaviour06 Mar 2005 04:51 GMT7
My Mischief has started some odd behaviour.  She is spayed, and old enough
to have been found in heat last summer/autumn.  We got her in November last
year from the lady who found her.  She's been eating well and seems fine -
except for this:
A slideshow of the Abingdon 43.05 Mar 2005 21:49 GMT1
Warning, some of the pics are graphic and gross but sadly they do
depict the horrid conditions the AB43 were forced to live in before
Rocky's stepped in to help.  Please help these ferrets get to Forever
homes.  They are currently being vetted and will be getting their

New baby04 Mar 2005 07:34 GMT1
Yesterday I was at local ferret club foster home meeting.  By
coincidence, 3 new ferrets came in.  There was a tiny albino girl, deaf
and walking with a lurch.  Until she settled in she was quite the
little nippy kit.
What ferret are YOU?03 Mar 2005 06:32 GMT2

agressive ferret02 Mar 2005 04:42 GMT2
We have a ferret who has adrenal disease and we give her melatonin about
three pm every day. this seems to help with the agressiveness.

We just lost a male sable to adrenal disease last week. Sammy had shown no
symptoms of having this disease other than when he was sleeping he would
fall out of his sack at night. Sammy was a Marshal ferret of three years. My
wife and I have decided to replace him with a ferret from ...
