Ione crossed the Rainbow Bridge31 May 2005 21:15 GMT7
With the help of my mink ferret's office  6 yr old Ione crossed the
Rainbow Bridge Tues evening.  She had gone into insulinomic shock that
day and I couldn't bring her out of it.  I tried dripping honey on and
under her tongue.  She was siezing so bad I couldn't risk my fingers
Tomatoes ?31 May 2005 01:23 GMT8
Are tomatoes ok for a wee land bat?
She loves them diced up and will dive into dish and growl "if you can call
it that haha" if you try to move her?

A warning to all29 May 2005 03:24 GMT9
I actually thought that Commando Fuzz would be a good place to learn
about ferrets.  I applied, and was accepted.  Not more than 24 hours
later I started receiving hate mail from the owner of that group.
Learned my lesson.

The place where we got Lucy & Sugarbear a couple of months ago is a
very nice shelter in Spokane.  It's run by a really nice woman named
Paula.

My ferret acting a bit strange; any ideas?27 May 2005 18:48 GMT5
I posted a while ago about Shadow's hind leg weakness; that has since
gone away for now, though I keep some Karo Syrup nearby.  I've been
planning for some time to give him a physical which will be done soon.
He is over 5 years old now.
Oberon - Any Ideas?27 May 2005 06:44 GMT6
Over the past few mos, Oberon's had some problems, which we're all totally
at a loss about. Believe me, out vet has done a ton of tests, & he's also
stumped.
At first, we thought it was adrenal, cos he was acting a little more
HELLO MSJDOOLITTLE26 May 2005 00:43 GMT5
Thanks for the invite to this wonderful newsgroup. We wanted a ferret even
before we purchased our first hairless rat. My wife is from California where
its ILLEGAL to own a ferret.
She always wanted one and when we where starting out I could not afford a
Ferret speed26 May 2005 00:43 GMT23
Our Bacchus is almost 1 year old now.  Since he moved in with us, he's lost
a little fat, grown more muscular and developed his ability to jump and
climb.   He has 3 speeds of locomotion, walk, canter and dash.  The walk is
the gait you see when your ferrets are snooping around on ...
Toys for ferrets25 May 2005 17:40 GMT3

ideas?
TIA.
Ferretstock 200524 May 2005 06:01 GMT7
This is a great fundraiser, for a great shelter. Hubby & I are driving 1000
miles from central Florida to go.
These people are my friends. I can't imagine why anyone would try to prevent
them from raising funds for the shelter. Ferrets need help, no matter what
Finn McCool crossed the Rainbow Bridge20 May 2005 21:04 GMT9
Finn McCool was one of my ferrets.  He was a black sable with a black
nose.  He had such a great personality.  I used him a an education
ferret for many years.  Awhile back he was showing early signs of
adrenal and I added melatonin to his water bottle.  In the last week,
Ferrets in Australia19 May 2005 19:00 GMT11
Ive only just started reading this group.  I am pleased to have found some
ferrety people.  In Australia there is only a small number of ferret groups,
which is mostly the ferret societies in 3 states.

Facial Grooming19 May 2005 11:11 GMT4
We have a cute little girl sable named, Fiona. She's about 2 years old.
She's a real snuggler, and loves to be held and stroked. She hardly ever
wants to get down. We got her at a shelter.
She periodically will clean her face when we hold her, usually aftger a
CA UPDATE: Please Contact Chair of Appropriations and your Assemblymember ASAP!19 May 2005 03:46 GMT1
Our bill AB 647 is before the Assembly Appropriations Committee and needs to
move forward or die. Please don't let this happen. The bill in its current
version does NOT include an expensive environmental reveiw which would be
paid for by ferret owners and reviewed by a hostile ...
