| Doctors trip | 10 Mar 2006 02:20 GMT | 5 |
Quasimodo and I will be taking a 90+ mile one-way trip tomorrow to the Weare Animal Hospital in NH to see if he's a candidate to have his spleen removed. He's got two large masses growing on it, and their pressure seems to have inhibited much of his use of his back legs. Our local ...

Yesterday I was at a Petco where I got Daisy and Cinnamon. They had 2 little Dark Sables plus an older Silver Mitt. Went back today and the 2 little Black Sables were gone, But the Silver Mitt was still there, so I played with him again. He is about 9 months

| Ariel, Again :-(... | 10 Mar 2006 02:15 GMT | 5 |
I don't know how much more my baby can take. This past Fri early afternoon, when we got the fuzzies out for playtime/cage cleaning, Ariel, who is usually the first one bouncing up & down at the door to be let out, wasn't there. I checked the cage, & found her in one of the

I remember that I used to use a linoleum-type flooring for my ferret cages, but darned if I can remember how I did it. Do I use linoleum tiles? Any help would be much appreciated! Helen

Last night, after being on only one dose of prednisone a day, Riley was stumbling. I also noticed he was standing on his little nuckles. So I tooke him to the vet this morning, and they kept him for the day, to monitor his sugar levels. His levels stayed above 75 all day, will ...

| Snorkling Ferrets | 08 Mar 2006 17:18 GMT | 13 |
I have quote a conundrum with my ferrets. One of my ferrets snorkels in his water dish, yet when I put him in the bathtub with maybe an inch of water he seems to hate it. Any ideas why he's snorkeling in his water dish? If he likes water so much, why doesn't he like to swim

| The Fuzzy's New Condo | 05 Mar 2006 08:13 GMT | 1 |
Daisy and Cinnamon now have a 2 story condo so that they can have boyfriends over. My original cage was a 38" wide Marchioro (Italy) cage. I thought it would be nice to add a 2nd story, so....

| PCR | 04 Mar 2006 05:00 GMT | 8 |
Ok... now I'm worried. Riley went to the vet for a mouth swab. Turns out the swab was for a PCR test. PCR testing in ferrets is used to help dectect Aleution Disease (ADV)... also known as chronic wasting disease...a ferret AIDS.

| So lucky! | 04 Mar 2006 02:12 GMT | 4 |
I just feel so lucky! Bean is the perfect ferret kit. He uses his litter boxes about 90% of the time, even pausing during play to run back to his cage when he has to go. He and Abbie adore each other, Abbie doing a great immitation of a big hairy ferret. Lots of

| Ferret Diet Problems | 01 Mar 2006 19:29 GMT | 26 |
I'm having trouble with my new ferrets. These are my first ferrets, one I got a week ago, and one thursday for her as a playmate. She seems to be kind of lethargic and has grainy poo. I thought it was me being stupid, because I failed to read that they needed moistened food.
