Update on Millie Walls31 May 2006 19:23 GMT22
This is probably the hardest thing that I have ever had to write.  As
I informed you last night, I'm going to update you on the condition
of Millie Walls.  The doctor's preformed two tests today, an EEG and
an MRI.  Both of these tests have shown that Mom's brain deteoriation
Update on Millie Walls29 May 2006 01:37 GMT3
Currently, there is no change in Mom's condition, except that now what
little bit of response she had has disappeared. Cindy is going to
assist us in sneaking Jezebel into the hospital on Friday so that they
can say their goodbyes. (Thank you, CIndy for everything!) We will
Ferret Distemper Vaccine26 May 2006 18:43 GMT1
I brought my ferret to the vet for his third distemper vaccine today.
But the vet said he didn't need a third shot, he only needed 2.  I told
the vet that the information I got with the ferret said he needs 3, but
the vet insisted that 2 was enough.  He gave him his rabies vaccine
Albuquerque area shelter?26 May 2006 04:27 GMT1
Does anyone know if there is a shelter in the Albuquerque, NM area? I tried
calling the only one listed at http://ferret.org/links/shelters.asp, but
they said they didn't operate a shelter. TIA!
Great relief and a hard lesson learned24 May 2006 04:52 GMT1
For the past few days I've been worried because the boys have had
copious and loose stools.  I thought perhaps Goober had brought
something enteric with him, even though his stools had previously been
normal.

I've been drifting in and outof here the last year and haven't really
been around as much.  I may have ditched during the last flame war.
I've changed from celticferret to celticmink.
I'm down to 18 ferrets and up to 3 mink, adding a baby next week.
I know I am going to regret this, but here goes................23 May 2006 15:39 GMT5
I just wanted to take the time to let everyone here know that Millie
Walls is currently in ICU in a coma and on a respirator with severe
brain damage after going into respiratory failure Tuesday night and
being without oxygen for over 15 minutes while waiting for the
Many ferret owners do not know how to properly care for and maintain a ferret23 May 2006 00:03 GMT1
There are many illnesses that ferrets commonly contract, and it is
difficult to know exactly what to do in every situation to ensure that
your ferret stays healthy.
Ferrets can become a huge burden if they are not properly trained. They
Goober's baby portrait19 May 2006 14:15 GMT7
I finally got Goober to sit still long enough to take his picture (it
wasn't easy and involved bribes).  But here is his official baby
portrait.
His eyes are actually a dark ruby, but look red in the pic because of
Has anyones ferts sensed death?19 May 2006 03:39 GMT5
I have 5 ferrets currently, however Biffa has lymphoma and doesn't look like
he's going to last much longer.  He is one of our first pair, along with
Rumpus.  We have added 3 others to our business along the way, and they all
get on well together.
Rumpus has gone12 May 2006 23:45 GMT11
Well, we now know why Rumpus was feeling down last week - it seems he had
tumours on his spleen and somewhere else inside (poss bowels) and these
tumours had nodules.i.e. cancerous.
We found him this morning with swollen abdomen, weak legs and general

How do I go about adding an addition to my family??03 May 2006 21:24 GMT3
My Maverick will be two years old July 12th.  I have been able to spend
a lot of time with him since he was a little one when I got him.  But
now I don't have as much time to spend with him because I got a new
job.  I think he is getting aggravated I am not playing with him as
Now there is three.....03 May 2006 00:32 GMT5
Finally got a picture of my new boy Jasper (little jewel).
The petco store would give me nothing about him other than he was
originally sold by that store. I estimated him to be 6 months old when I
got him, and 7 months old now. He is an Albino, and looks like Angora
