| Have you ever seen a ferret do this? | 08 Sep 2006 10:52 GMT | 5 |
As I mentioned in my first post, I'm a very recent convert to the world of ferret love. We've had Shiro about a month, and this is his third home. My sister-in-law bought him from a neighbor who was moving and had to give him up. Her girls (5 and 6) were too young to care for him

| Sometimes ferret clubs drive me nuts | 06 Sep 2006 23:23 GMT | 2 |
If you know me, you know I'm a member of a local ferret club which I'm currently pissed with. (I should send some ferrets to visit their houses and leave presents in the corners. LOL!) Outside of a large pet expo and ferret show, all these pet events are the only contact our

| Banzai Update | 06 Sep 2006 15:51 GMT | 4 |
Well, Banzai had his surgery today and it turns out his spleen was enlarged (about 8 to 10 times normal!) and there was another lump, possibly a lymph node, that was swollen - this has been biopsied, along with the spleen. He's still a bit dozy but seems to have recovered ok. ...

| Ferret Toys, Box Training, and Treats | 04 Sep 2006 07:04 GMT | 6 |
I have two, 3 year old furballs, Carlos and Roberta, and I am actually their third owner (I've had them a little over a month). Except for an occasional accident, Carlos has no problem with using a box both inside and outside the cage. Roberta, on the other hand, is a

| Banzai has lumps | 04 Sep 2006 02:05 GMT | 3 |
Took Banzai to the vets today as we felt his poops/behaviour/activity levels weren't normal. Seems he has some lumps in his belly, poss on his spleen and somewhere else, SO he goes to the vets for exploratory surgery on Monday.

| Deaf ferret is a biter | 03 Sep 2006 01:09 GMT | 1 |
How do you discipline and train a deaf ferret not to bite and scratch at your toes? Crash does this all the time. It's not the biting that hurts, but the scratching. I'm sure he's trying to get our attention, but I'd really like to discourage this behavior and am not sure how to

| Goodby Razzle | 01 Sep 2006 18:33 GMT | 15 |
Our Razzle has made the trip. She'd always been our most reserved ferret. Would cuddle for a few minutes and seemed to enjoy it. The rest seem to mostly put up with it. When they group got out to play, she tended to play a while then find somewhere

| THANKS FOR EVERYTHING | 01 Sep 2006 17:26 GMT | 1 |
I just want to thank all of the people that have helped me with my questions. I really do appreciate it. I love my new baby boy and he now knows what its like to be treated like a king. I am going to take some pictures of the new cage i built for him and i think this will

| Featured ferret video | 01 Sep 2006 07:27 GMT | 7 |
The featured video on Yahoo! this morning (30-August) http://www.yahoo.com/ is a ferret clutching a ball to it's chest and running backwards with it. The caption is "Moonwalking ferret" and "This unusual pet is stuck in reverse." From my experience, this really unusual behavior for ...
