| 2nd adrenal surgery for older ferret? | 26 Nov 2006 23:51 GMT | 3 |
My 6.5 year old ferret, Oscar, had adrenal surgery about 1.5 years ago to remove his left adrenal gland and tumor and he recovered wonderfully, except for his poor hairless tail. Now he is starting to lose hair at the base of his tail on the body (oddly enough, he did NOT lose ...

| The Herbal Hair Regrowth Solution | 22 Nov 2006 21:12 GMT | 7 |
I met an Indian guy on an airplane who said he knew an ancient recipe that could re-grow hair and stop it from falling out. He said it increased the circulation to the scalp and also cured dandruff and dry skin. He was a really funny guy and by the end of the trip we were

| Cataract? | 16 Nov 2006 18:46 GMT | 5 |
Crash, my white/gray panda, started having issues with his right eye a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that he was squinting a good deal, but I couldn't find anything wrong with the eye other than excessive watering. There were no injuries that I knew of. This weekend, I

| Horrible moment, but a happy outcome | 16 Nov 2006 14:17 GMT | 2 |
Came home from work to be greeted by the husband saying, "I've messed up big time - I've lost Banzai" Cue discussion about what he'd been doing, how many times he'd opened the front door, where he had already searched and where he had found the others.

| Julie crossed to the bridge on Friday | 13 Nov 2006 19:09 GMT | 4 |
I had to take my beloved Julie to the vet yesterday to help her to pass on. She was a little over 7 and a half years old. She had been fighting insulinoma for about 3 years and adrenal for 2. Despite a combo of Ped and Diazoxide she was slowly losing weight and her blood

| Triple the dooking goodness! | 07 Nov 2006 15:10 GMT | 6 |
I haven't checked in for a while, but our ferret family now numbers THREE. We just added Koda, a 5-month-old cinnamon male that "nobody wanted" to our brood. He fit in beautifully and while I thought he was sort of timid at first, his real personality soon came out, rowdy as

| Back from the vet | 03 Nov 2006 00:33 GMT | 1 |
I had Ceili (kay lee) and Cear )kee ar) to the vet. I suspected adrenal. Both had slight balding on the tails. They got melatonin shots. Cear has a bad tooth also. My vet is just back from 3 wks out of town. I would have to wait almost 2 wks to get her in for surgery.
