I had two ferrets a couple years ago for a couple years, and got two
new ones a year ago - one male and one female.  I love them heaps!
However, they very suddenly smell VERY strongly after having almost no
scent at all the whole time I've had them.  Can anyone shed any light

adrenal disease23 Dec 2007 05:02 GMT2
I took Bacchus to the doctor today at the Exotic Pet Clinic in Kirkland WA.
I was concerned about th bald spot on his lower back.  He's otherwise in
excellent health at 3-1/2 years of age, except for dirty ears.  They took
some blood will send out for a test to confirm or rule ...
6+ year old ferrets19 Dec 2007 04:42 GMT6
We've just adopted two 6+ year old ferrets from a shelter and we've had them for less than a week.  We figured that most people wouldn't want to give a ferret in his twilight years a good home even though they deserve one.
One is very active and you wouldn't think he was 6 years ...

Our almost 5 year old Bacchus is starting to develop a bald spot on his
lower back.  What does this mean?  Is it normal for a ferret of his age?

good appetite and plenty of exercise.  - CW

We will be getting our first ferret soon, so I have many questions.

1. I have some mice during the winter. Are ferrets good mousers?
2. I use an ultrasonic mouse deterrant. Will these have a detramental
water bottle accident06 Dec 2007 15:12 GMT2

New ferret01 Dec 2007 03:33 GMT3
I'd just like to know if it is possible to get a ferret to sleep and relax
on me after some playtime or something.
I know that young ferrets and quite active (mine's 3+ months old) but he
doesn't seem to know how to relax when I take him out of his cage.  He could
