I've had a 29g going for over 2 years now, first tank, best results from

bubbles from a pump's air stone, or from the ripple effect of those bubbles

When testing my freshwater tank for pH, ammonia, nitrates, and
nitrites does it matter what part of my tank the water sample comes
from?  Can I just scoop some water from the top of the tank or do I
need to siphon water from the bottom?
