help with eheim canister 12 Nov 2003 20:21 GMT9
Hope someone can help me with this...
The pump/motor of my Eheim 2213 canister filter is rattling.
The manual online even mentions routine cleaning and maintenance.  The
problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to get into the pump head
Eheim tubing size12 Nov 2003 20:08 GMT2
Can anyone tell me if there is an adapter out there to take the tubing
that comes standard with my 2026 Eheim filter to a standard US size as
is needed for the Fluidized bed filter that I'll be plumbing in line
after it?  The tubing included is the 16/22mm.  I would like to run
Flying Fox an SAE?12 Nov 2003 15:41 GMT11
I finally got myself a couple australian flying foxes, I knew about them
earlier, thought they'd be a nice addition. They're healthy as can be,
growing like weeds, very beautiful and peacful.
Thought I'd dig a bit into their history, and the first few websites I came
Question about breeding Dwarf Frogs12 Nov 2003 15:35 GMT6
HI. I was just wondering if any one here had bred their dwarf frogs. I have read up on how to breed them but I was wondering if anyone found it hard to do. I have noticed that my frogs have just started mating. I havent decided it I want to breed them yet or not. If anyone wanted ...
Aggressiveness Levels11 Nov 2003 19:22 GMT8
Just wondering, what would happen if a few semi-aggressive fish were
put in a tank with many docilie (like Mollies) fish?
Help WIth Restoring A Tank10 Nov 2003 21:29 GMT2
I was recently given a 130g acrylic tank that was used for saltwater.
It is in pretty bad shape.  It needs a good cleaning and smells pretty bad.
I removed the plumbing and hosed it out to remove all the loose junk.  The
algae and scale? are proving to be difficult to remove.  I ...
Please identify this fish10 Nov 2003 20:43 GMT16
Can anyone please identify this loach:
http://v6.homelinux.com/loach.html
It was labelled as "Bengal Sucking Loach" in the shop, but looking that up
proves it clearly isn't one.  I got two the same, but after a few months,
Red Tailed Black Shark Questions10 Nov 2003 20:38 GMT5
After asking the man in the fish shop if he could take the endless baby
Bristlenose Catfish I keep ending up with he suggested I buy a Red
Tailed shark who would eat the eggs. I duly bought one but on doing some
research realise that I may have made a mistake and that they can be ...
Will this UGF set up work?10 Nov 2003 05:24 GMT2
I have a 2 1/2 gallon rectangular aquarium which houses one male
Betta. I have been looking for a way to filter it for him....I know,
high maintenance fish...but he particularly likes this tank. Tried an
internal filter, he freaked and wouldn't move for days so I removed
emperor tetras compatibility10 Nov 2003 03:07 GMT1
Anyone keep any Emperor tetras? I am thinking about putting a few in my 150L
planted with an apisto pair, 10 corys, some shrimp and 6 neons. Do they get
too rowdy when they get bigger? Or should I go with the cardinal route
instead?
New tank - 2 questions10 Nov 2003 02:55 GMT1
I've had experience raising baby bass and northern pike (what I call
"natural" fish)  That I would catch from a lake in Wisconsin. I've also
raised matted pairs of Angle fish. My goal was to always create a "normal"
environment for the fish (natural looking plants, rocks, etc..).
Algae and snails09 Nov 2003 23:35 GMT2
Maybe a dumb question.
We've got a modest-sized snail (we think an apple snail, but can't
guarantee it) in the betta tank, along with the betta.  They get along
well (ignoring one another), and the snail appears healthy. It's hard
For a very long time!09 Nov 2003 16:51 GMT7
The so-called beneficial bacteria in an aquarium filter need three
things: plenty of water, oxygen, and food, which is usually fish
waste.
If any of the three are not present for about 48 hours, the beneficial
Compatability of Dwarf Frogs?09 Nov 2003 16:04 GMT8
I've got a 1" Kuhli, and a 1" Pleco in a 15 Gal tank, with an average
temperature of 78f, and an unknown PH.
Is this a suitable environment to add a couple of dwarf froggies?
How long will my bacteria live if I switch off the filter ?09 Nov 2003 15:30 GMT8
I have a new filter maturing on my old tank. When I come to move it to
my new tank, I will (obviously) need to switch it off and move it.
Ideally I would like a bit of time before switching it back on as I need
to work some plumbing and other bits around it before I fill the tank ...
