crud water18 Dec 2003 08:50 GMT11
Quick question: My sister decided to over feed the tank by a huge amount. I
mean huge. (like, way). I've vacuumed and scooped out as much as I could,
but there still is a lot of food decaying on the bottom. Is there any quick
way to get it out without killing my neons? I don't have ...
Dimensions of Eclipse's18 Dec 2003 05:49 GMT10
I am looking of buying a small tank and have decided that I would like to
get the Marineland brand.  However, because of where I wish to put it I am
limited by the footprint size.  Does anyone know what are the footprint
sizes of the Explorer(2 gallon), Esclipse 3 and 6, and the Hex ...
Mopani, Water Changes and Ich18 Dec 2003 02:30 GMT1
I setup a new 29g aquarium with two pieces of Mopani wood. Eventhough I had
soaked the wood for several days prior to putting it in the tank, it is
still leaching tannin into the water turning it yellow.
I have 5 plants, few platies and a school of neon tetra in the tank. I know
A sad day in fish keeping17 Dec 2003 21:01 GMT1
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (Reuters) -- More than a million of gallons of water
flooded out of Europe's biggest fish tank Wednesday, threatening to kill
most of its inhabitants after a fire ravaged the Danish museum in which it
is housed.

Now my betta has fin rot...17 Dec 2003 17:51 GMT8
I've been posting over the last couple of weeks about my new tank. If
you've been reading my posts, I've had some deaths in the family, and
I'm trying to figure out what the deal is.
My 55G tank started with 5 1-2" comet goldfish, a 4-5" fantail, a 4-5"
Fish Choices17 Dec 2003 14:37 GMT2
I am looking to get a 55 gal tank. Wife is in love with colorful
cichlids so it looks like we will be getting the african varieties of
some types. I myself like loaches (botias). Any suggestions on what
cichlids would be favorable in this type of invironment? I plant to
Hypancistrus zebra17 Dec 2003 11:21 GMT2

Zebra Danios: how deep?17 Dec 2003 03:10 GMT14
A few days ago I added a pair of Zebras to my 10G community tank (3 white
clouds and a few small comets) and they seem to have settled in well
enough, but I note they seem to spend most of their time 2 or 3 inches from
the surface.  Is this common?
Quick question about Ebo-Jager Heaters17 Dec 2003 00:36 GMT11
I just looked at a large picture of a Ebo-Jager heater on the web, and it
had a line drawn on it with Water Level written just below the blue
adjusting top.  Does that mean that they are not fully submersible?  I
thought that you could stick these heater completely under water, but ...
ICK Treatment Question16 Dec 2003 22:02 GMT7
Tonight, I have noticed ICK on some of my fish.  Only a few visible white
spots.  I have tetras (black skirt, black neon, red eye), danios (giant and
zebra), bristlenose pleco, and silver dollars.  The silver dollars were just
introduced last week.
Substrate changes to an active tank ?16 Dec 2003 20:27 GMT3
I have a stable tank that I'm thinking of doing some interior
decorations on.  But I was wondering what kind of an impact doing so
will have on the water and the tank.
I have all fake plants and a pea sized gravel substrate.  I'm thinking
