I got my first aquarium recently and I put a male betta with a couple of (supposedly) peaceful fish (no other male bettas). My betta ended up picking several fights with various fish until a red-eyed tetra gave him a couple of good bites. Then he proceeded to attack a

| Driftwood Questions | 15 Dec 2003 22:21 GMT | 2 |
I just bought two pieces of driftwood off of ebay and they are sun bleached, freshwater, dried, hand cleaned (no dirt chunks), and nature cured. The seller is in Golden, BC so I assume that they are either river or lake driftwood. Is there any thing I should worry about with them ...

| Type of ballast in All-Glass hoods | 15 Dec 2003 01:28 GMT | 3 |
I was wondering if anyone knows any information about the type of ballast that All-Glass puts in their deluxe hoods. I'm especially interested in the 48*12 hoods (made for 55G) since I'm thinking of buying one of these and adding more light to it. However, depending on the type of ...

| Filter advice needed! Penguin 125 isn't doing the job. | 14 Dec 2003 18:01 GMT | 22 |
I've had a Penguin 125 filter for about 9 months. It came with my new 20 gallon aquarium. The bio-wheel barely turns these days. I've taken it out, cleaned it, tried straightening the little paper folds (so the water pushes it better), but it still barely turns. Now some threads, or ...
