I've set up a planted 10g tank for a month. Everything looks fine. the pH is about 6.6. I heard that people have a lot of fun by breeding dwarf cichlids. What kind of dwarf cichlids do you think are good for beginners? Is anyone breeding dwarf cichlids in Columbus, OH? -Sean

There is little to no nitrate present in my three tanks. I consider all three of them to be fully cycled. Shouldn't there be a small amount of nitrate? Are the plants using up what little nitrate there is? tank 1: 20 gallon freshwater, ammonia 0, nitrite 0. nitrate 0, ph 7.6.

Folks, We are moving to a new place and we have a well (Sout India). The water is very salty. I dont have any other parameters like pH, KH, GH and etc. Water is not very hard because Soap and Shampoo works fine.
