A friend of mine who has been keeping fish for 20 years or more told me never to get Neon Tetras. He said that they will eventually get Neon disease and that it will wipe out the whole tank of fish. If the Neons I buy don't have Neon disease, can they develop it?

I would like to add salt to my tank for theraputic reasons. I have a guppy with a suspected case of fin rot. I have medicated the tank with two "Fungas Clear" drop in tablets. How much salt would be appropriate to add to my tank?

I have a three-stage in-line tap water filter. One mechanical stage followed by two activated carbon. I think it is mainly aimed at removing bacteria from the water supply for drinking.

Well, trying my luck with cories, without trying. Salvaging eggs as I find them and moving into a container. So far I have a small air pump and air stone for aeration, and meth blue for anti-fungus.
