Unknown worms11 Jan 2004 00:35 GMT1
I just today noticed a little translucent worm wriggling around in my
tank. It was about 3 mm long and thin. Spotting another a few minutes
later, I decided to take a look in my corner filter (not cleaned for a
couple of weeks).
bugs in tank?...10 Jan 2004 15:50 GMT6
I've got a small 2 1/2 gallon tank with 1 Betta and an Ottocinclus. I've had
the betta since September & the Otto since November. I haven't had any
problems with them and their behaviour was always "normal".
Today I just noticed some very small whitish/translucent "bugs" moving
To dig or not to dig10 Jan 2004 14:33 GMT9
I've got one missing-presumed-dead molly in a heavily planted 120/gal tank.
(he was about 2 inches and chubby)
I've searched every possible spot I can see, several times, but I don't see
a body.  I'm thinking leave him and my corycats may help dispose of the

Do aquariums have a life expectancy?
I had just a basic 10 gallon.  My husband and I came home to about 10
gallons of water all over our tile and carpet last night.  It looks like it
was leaking slowly all day while we were gone at work.  There were about 3

My Silver Dollar fish, that I have owned for 16 yrs, just died and I was
curious about the normal life span of that variety of fish.  Did this fish live
longer than normal?

Well, interesting day, decided I should post, maybe get a question answered.

To Quarantine first fish in tank... or not?09 Jan 2004 13:58 GMT2
I'm gonna be setting up my new 55G planted tank soon, and I'm wondering if I
should quarantine the first fish that I will introduce ... which will be 3
SAE, & 6 Ottos.  I know that the pro for quarantining the first fish is that
it's cheaper to medicate them if needed in a smaller ...

Home Depot buckets ... safe for aquarium use?09 Jan 2004 08:39 GMT9
Are those buckets that you can buy at home depot (the ones that have the HD

(ie: water change, etc.).  Also does anyone now of a source for slightly
smaller buckets/containers?  A 5G might be a little too ...

We had a few hot days this summer.  This is not usually a problem as the

above 40 degrees and the night in between only dropped to 28 degrees.
Most of my aquariums have air pumps of some kind. However one of ...
