I have built a 26''x10''x12''(h) tank to fit an empty space in my (very robust) bookshelf. It is going to have an external filter (90 g/h) with inflow and outflow placed on the opposite ends of the tank, so to make a somewhat strong current. There will be two 11w fluorescent lights

Hey All: I've never had two gourami's in the same tank before, as I am fairly new to the hobby, however I saw one that I couldn't resist and pick him up (He's a Dwarf Gourami while the current inhabitant is a Opuline).

I have read lots that stresses the importance of balancing nutients, light and C02 in a planted aquarium, but little that tells me in simple terms how. My latest 55g aquarium is about a month old, is heavily planted and I

I have a 10gal aquarium I use for a betta and 3 cory cats my wife "rescued." The betta died some time back, but the little corys are fine. It has an aquaclear 150 filter with two sponges, and I do about a 15% water change per week, using Amquel. There are a couple of
