My new tank is coming along fine.  I have a 55 gallon tank with an XP3
filter, Hagen Powerhead, EBO-Jager Heater, Eheim auto feeder, some cool
decorations - driftwood, coral, etc.  I'm getting ready to cycle my tank.  I

20g long heavily planted tank with Eclipse hood, well established for

Does anyone have experience with ageing water in the blue barrels  (30
or 55 gallon)?
I understand that chlorine will dissipate but chloramine will not.
Moreover, I have read that products which break chloramine down

My tap water at home is in the 7.6-7.8 range.  I have Platys and Corys in my
tank.  Referencing www.fishbase.com, these two fish have pH ranges of
7.0-8.0 and 6.0-8.0, respectively.  When I bought the fish and the aquarium,
my LFS recommended that I use chemicals to adjust my water ...

tank.  It seems like Ebo-Jager heaters are very highly recommended, however,
I believe they still use a bi-metal strip to control the temp.  So I started

My local shop sells packets of live food (brine shrimp, water fleas etc.).
They are sealed plastic packets, half full of water and swarming with
goodies.  Being a complete beginner I'm not sure of the best way to get
these to my fish.

Hello to everyone,
Well I have been at this new hobby for just a little over 2 months now.
I got hold of a 2nd hand 3ft tank complete with all the accoutrements
(external canister filter etc).

I have 2 Corys and 6 Platys.  One Cory has a white spot on its flank, a
white spot at the pectoral fin "underarm", and a white spot on a gill.  I
assume this is Ich.  Is it?  (None of the other fish are exhibiting any
symptoms.)

Hi Everybody, i got this instructions to make a CO2 reactor. I would
