I recently took in a sick stray cat and he brought along some friends
with him...fleas! I want to spray my apartment but am very worried

I have a 120 gallon tank with about 20 Malawi cichlids from 1-5 inches. I

well as veges) the water will have alot of small suspended particles and the
water will go a bit cloudy. this does not clear for a few ...

I have a 10 gallon. I have 36W worth of lighting (2 14W bulbs, 1 8W bulb)

danios. I have plant food but I also got the new hagen CO2 yeast system.
Will this help them grow? And, is the lighting adequate (3 ...
A Few Aquarium Questions03 Feb 2004 18:00 GMT8
I'm setting up a 55 Gallon tank and have a few questions.
1.  I purchased a Filstar XP3 canister filter and was thinking of also
getting a small Fluval or Eheim submersible filter to aid in filtration and
as a backup.  Is this needed or am I wasting my money?
goby eating other fish?03 Feb 2004 13:53 GMT2
Yesterday we purchased a goby at a local aquarium store, being told it
was a very docile fish and a good fit for our community tank (mostly
livebearers and small tetra). However, upon introduction to the tank,
it "accidently" killed a guppy (mistaking its tail for food) and then
Crazy guppy needs to be nutered!03 Feb 2004 13:53 GMT7
Is it possible for a male guppy to breed a female platy? My male guppy
has taken an instant liking to the new platy that I just added to my
tank. He was chasing her around the tank trying to breed her. I put him
in a different tank. I have never seen him bother any of my other ...

we just picked up a 55-gallon tank my sister was getting rid of, it cleaned up
beautifully, but now i'm a little undecided on what to populate it with.
I was planning on keeping it to one species, at most two. it's a given that
we'll get a couple of Cory cats for it, but here's what ...

Cycling Appears to have Stalled03 Feb 2004 03:23 GMT7
I'm now five weeks in to cycling my tank.  12 days ago the ammonia
spike ended and nitrites immediately soared.  A couple days
afterwards, nitrates appeared in large, but not dangerous quantities.
Since then nothing has changed.  Nitrites still off the charts,
Acrylic tank question03 Feb 2004 01:05 GMT17
I just had my 110 acrylic tank delivered. It came with an oak stand, and
cover. Now, when I filled it up, I noticed the back was arched. Is this
normal for acrylic tanks? Thanks!

Crazy Guppy is in time out02 Feb 2004 23:35 GMT2
When I got home yesterday evening I noticed that the 2 new platys had
stubby partially missing fins. Then I saw Crazy Guppy (CG) swimming
along side one of the platys taking quick bites out of her fin. The
platy was swimming really fast trying to get away, but CG just kept
