| glo fish speckled vs striped | 02 Feb 2004 13:48 GMT | 4 |
I just bought two glo-fish. I thought these were gene spliced zebra danios. One looks like a red zebra, however the other is speckled like a trout not striped. Is this the difference between male and female, or is there more than one kind of glo fish?

| zipper loaches breeding? | 01 Feb 2004 14:53 GMT | 7 |
I was breaking down a tank the other day, and I found two fry of what look to be zipper loaches. The only other species in the tank are yoyo loaches and oto cats, and these 1cm babies definitely resemble the zippers more than the others.

Hi I have a slight problem with ammonia in my tank. I can't seem to get rid of the last traces of it. Combined with my high pH (8.2) I am worried that it is causing alot of problems for my fish even at such low levels. I am wondering about putting ammolock in the media baskets of ...

| Feeding Spotted Pictus Cat, or any bottom dweller? | 01 Feb 2004 02:43 GMT | 1 |
I just got a Spotted Pictus Cat to go in my Oscar tank. My question is how it ever eats? It is constantly swimming around, up and down the tank, and never touches the gravel. Yet when I feed the oscar, it doesn't get any of that food either.

First, thanks to everyone who has taken time to help me out. My tank is now five weeks old and doing well. All fish appear healthy and none have died. I tested all my levels again this morning and everything is pretty good except for the water hardness. I use the test strips from ...
