| Tenting my house for termites-What to do with fish? | 30 Apr 2004 21:42 GMT | 4 |
I don't know about other places, but in Hawaii everyone covers their whole house for termites every 10 years or so. I plan to move my 20 gallons of fish outside so they don't get gassed. I wonder if I could use a 55 gal plastic container

| Betta on a hunger strike? | 30 Apr 2004 20:20 GMT | 11 |
I added a male betta to my 10 gallon tank about a week ago and I have yet to see him eat. I know that bettas usually don't eat much, but I am a little worried. The pre-existing residents of the tank are 4 zebra danios and 2 yo yo

| Cycling... or at least trying to.... | 30 Apr 2004 20:08 GMT | 8 |
Ok... I know I posted this before, but this cycling thing has me very confused ... and slightly worried. I've been trying to cycle my 10-gallon aquarium for a month to the day now. I have an undergravel filter in there with my molly that keeps gasping (been

| threadfin rainbows spawning? | 30 Apr 2004 13:22 GMT | 2 |
I have 10 threadfin rainbows. I *love* these fish, and since I haven't hit my stocking limit (I have about three dozen pygmy fish in a 75 gallon tank), I'm thinking of actually adding maybe 4 or so more. I'm not going out of my way to try to get any of my fish to breed, but if

| ok, NetMax's web site | 29 Apr 2004 07:56 GMT | 22 |
It's a bit clunky and slow loading, but it's holding together. My menu is not 100% happy with Netscape, but I'll be changing it anyways, because I can't bookmark easily to pages. The Links Pages is about 20% finished, and the drawings are too big and slow (fortunately only 3 or 4 ...

| guppy fry | 28 Apr 2004 18:58 GMT | 2 |
I have 4 guppy fry in a breeding trap to keep them from being eaten. How big do they have to be before it's safe to let them loose with the adults? Also, when do they start to show their colours. These ones are about 1 week old and still pretty tiny. Any recommended websites for ...

| 1-month tank, cloudy? | 28 Apr 2004 18:26 GMT | 12 |
I have a tall 15g (15H) tank with an under-gravel filter. It's been running a little more than a month. I put a couple of feeder goldfish in it a couple of weeks ago. Things have been fine. I've done weekly partial water changes and have scraped the glass a few times. The pH has

| Moving my aquarium | 28 Apr 2004 08:33 GMT | 5 |
It looks like I may be moving about 400 miles from where I am. I have a 75 gallon tank with the usual community fish. Does anyone have any experience on how to move them or am I out of luck? I have had most of the fish for over 3 years, including 6 of the original 10 zebra danios I ...

| How toxic is formalin to plants? | 28 Apr 2004 07:59 GMT | 3 |
I've got a nasty mystery disease in one of my smaller aquaria; I suspect it's some sort of parasite, but it doesn't respond to normal treatment. I've have decided to tear the tank down and restart it. The fish will

| yikes! my 1st fish death | 27 Apr 2004 21:13 GMT | 6 |
I woke up this morning to find one of the two gold gouramis laying on the bottom of the tank, dead. Now the other one is laying on the bottom, gasping. I don't have a test kit but plan to take a water sample to the LFS tomorrow.

| Platy Update (...and my cat really digs flake food) | 27 Apr 2004 14:03 GMT | 7 |
About a week or so ago I posted about my platys being ticked about something, missing scales and looking like someone had skidded them across the ground. I was rather freaked out at the time which resulted in a REALLY long post which I'd like to apologize for. The answer was right ...
