Angel fish19 Apr 2004 16:42 GMT6
Anyone know the cycle for Angel fish to lay eggs, i.e. if they laid eggs
today, when would the next batch be laid?
Thanks - Dave
Bent Whisker...19 Apr 2004 12:07 GMT2
I have a spotted pictus cat in my tank.  He has four whiskers, two
large, and two smaller.  Something must have happened, maybe he was
chased into the rocks by my red oscar, but, the left long whisker is
now bent.  He looks like he has a broken arm.
clear slimy creatures in filter?19 Apr 2004 01:59 GMT8
I was checking my filter today and found a bunch of clear slimy things in
there, appeared to possibly have lots of tiny legs, any idea what it is?
related to my recent snail population?
Mollies and Goldfish18 Apr 2004 21:22 GMT2
My son has a five gallon talk with two adult mollies.  The mollies are
about one inch long.  He won a goldfish at the carnival and would like
to add it to the tank.  The goldfish is huge, at least two inches long
and much "thicker".
Where is NETMAX store?18 Apr 2004 18:02 GMT22
Because I really want to see his tanks.
Snail for a fry tank18 Apr 2004 17:06 GMT2
I have 3 Platy fry in a bare bottomed 2 1/2 gallon tank with a sponge
filter.  I read that snails can be put in a fry tank to clean up the
uneaten food.  I have an apple snail a little bigger than a quarter,
can I add her?  I am weighing between the uneaten food being eaten as
High ammonia, low pH.. (sorry if this is a repeat..)18 Apr 2004 15:35 GMT17
Tried to post this earlier, but haven't seen it yet. Here goes another
attempt..
So just got back into town thursday from a 6 day trip and noticed that the
fish in the 30G are stressing out. The 10 is fine. I had a friend taking
Inbred guppy strains?17 Apr 2004 19:21 GMT4
Dear NG.
I am currently looking for a retailer of inbred guppy lines with a
known inbreeding coefficient/breeding history and outbred fish from
the same population.
is this algae?17 Apr 2004 18:04 GMT3
I noticed yesterday that attached to two of my plants (a plastic one and a
live one) is a single long strand (3-4cm) of something green with little
spikey leaves on it.  It kind of looks like a miniature version of the
pine garland you see for sale at Christmas time.  I checked out ...
Moving a fish tank17 Apr 2004 17:31 GMT6
I need to move a 110 fish tank to a new house that is 30 miles away. It's
acrylic, with 20 cichlids and two Eheim filters. I basically need someone to
come over on a specific day, catch the fish, drain the tank, move it and set
it up again.
Moving to rural area17 Apr 2004 11:10 GMT1
I'll be moving my tanks to a rural area with fairly hard water (well water)
and wonder if anyone has any experience on acclimating fish (pleco, corys,
neons, barbs, and loaches) to the new water. I've cycled one tank and am
looking for suggestions about whether it's reasonable to ...
red-ear slider turtle tank17 Apr 2004 03:49 GMT2
hi.  my tank is very cloudy.  I have changed from a Tretra Whisper filter to
a Duetto.  i have recently changed from a high protein to a low protien
fodd.  i am changing 20% of the water every other day, with a complete rinse
of the gravel, and wash of the tank every weekend.  ...
Replacement for Fluval 303?17 Apr 2004 02:12 GMT15
I need to replace my old Fluval 303 because the motor burned out. I'm
not a fish hobbyist, I just enjoy the tank we have in the dining room,
so I'm not needing "top-of-the-line" equipment. I don't always
maintain the tank as I should and I'm guessing that the present

I've finally gotten a few decent pictures taken of my 75 gallon aquarium.
If you want to check them out, I made a .Mac homepage with three of them:

gourami too skinny?16 Apr 2004 19:12 GMT5
Among my honey gouramis, I have one that seems to be *too* skinny.  He is
noticeably smaller than the other 8 in my community.  I don't see any
signs of disease -- he is eating (well, more on that in a bit), his fins
look to be in good shape, no sign of white spots / fungus, etc.   ...
