Anybody know if porcelain tiles (like the ones that go on the floor) are safe in an aquarium. Sinks and such are made of porcelain, so the porcelain itself is fine, but the tiles are colored porcelain. Anyone know what kind of chemicals they use to color porcelain, and if this ...

I notice that a friend's stingray just sits at the bottom of the tank virtually motionless all day long. The ray is about 12" diameter and the tank is about 16" wide by 8' long. I am wondering if the tank is too small for the ray. Is it normal for the ray to just lie at the

| Water | 06 Apr 2004 21:44 GMT | 4 |
I was just wondering if the water out of a dehumidifier would be better to use for water changes than ordinary tap water and a dechlorinator. Any reason why not? Steve

Everything I read says lights should be on 10-12 hrs a day (give or take). tropical fish do not live in places with bright lights for that long. intense light is usually only 4 hrs a day not counting shade from trees etc why wouldn't light s be on a timed dimmer simulating the same ...
