Axolotl vs Mystery Snail23 May 2004 16:57 GMT1
I have a whole pile of Mystery snails that need culling! I also have a
friend with an Axolotl... I reckon he'd think they were very good to have in
the tank with him, he would LOVE them...
Would they be any harm to him if he munched them?

1 Male, 3 females.... 4 months later, and no babies....
What does that sound like... a sterile male?  Females have had 4 batches up
and until this male was purchased.... 2 batches since, the females are empty
and he's not loaded with good ammo....
is a parasite spreading?22 May 2004 11:06 GMT4
I've had a few fish losses that I chalked up to stress from the move
(Otos, pygmy corys).  Unfortunately, I'm starting to think that I may have
a more serious problem developing.  I've seen a few of my fish who look
like they are scratching themselves on the substrate & plants, ...

Hi Guys n Gals,
Anyone want to recommend some good plants to put in my 2 ½" tank with no
fish! (at the moment, cycling the tank) but am planning to get a mix of
cichlids...
Amano Shrimp holding eggs22 May 2004 04:55 GMT5
Good Afternoon,
I have 2 amano shrimps holding eggs. Does anyone have any experience of
dealing with what comes next? They are currently in a tank I use for small
guppies but it also houses a couple of corys & clown loach.
Compact vs. VHO, Which way do I go?21 May 2004 19:00 GMT2
I have a 90gal freshwater planted aquarium (24x48x18 HxWxD).  I have 5
40watt NO T-12's, disabled down to three tubes.  One of my
2-tube-ballasts has gone bad.  It's a complete 2-tube Coral Life
system, so the ballast looks difficult/dangerous for me to change out.
Death of Snowflake eel21 May 2004 04:50 GMT5
I lost a fish last night.  I know everyone in the hobby has, but I haven't
for a while and I was upset.  My snowflake eel stopped hiding in his cave
and appeared to be "hunting" last monday.  He would snake through a
shipwreck sculpture I have and snatch at the swordtails when they ...
Fish shop help20 May 2004 13:15 GMT4
Is it the same all over the world? I go into our local aquarium shops and
the staff will stop and chat, answer stacks of silly questions, etc for
ages, even when I walk out with nothing... and they even know I cant spend
heaps in a few weeks either...

I use T2O instead of H2O19 May 2004 08:44 GMT9
I think the fishes prefer Di-Tritium oxyde instead of stinking water,
they are really glowing from pure joy...
Eheim Classic 2213 - too much for a 2' aquarium???19 May 2004 02:37 GMT8
I was wondering if the Eheim Classic 2213 would be too much for my new
aquarium?
The 2 foot tank I have will hold approx 65L of water (approx 17 gallons). I
was considering the eheim Classic 2213 or the Eheim Professional 2222
Funniest fish expierence18 May 2004 23:36 GMT4
I'd have to say my funniest two expierences were either: When I walked
into my bedroom to see may tabby cat repeatedly whacking the glass on
my 29 gallon tank. Or when I was driving myself crazy looking for my
snakeskin gourami, only to find it had dug itself a "trench" in the
Fish louse help please18 May 2004 22:44 GMT3
I have 3 Pearl Gouramis with fish lice on them. The largest louse has
tiny cillia on the sides beating rapidly. I think they must have come in
with some live daphnia.
All the other fish - platies, rtbs, corys and a firemouth chichlid are

awhile back...
