Is something wrong and other bits?23 Jun 2004 22:58 GMT3
One of my Fluval 4 plus filters is every twenty seconds or so spewing out
loads of tiny air bubbles by the thousand, this has only just started after
being ok for about a week.
I'm running two together but no fish yet.
Meanest Gourami of Them All23 Jun 2004 15:58 GMT3
This is just a friendly warning to all those who enjoy having gouramis
in their community tank.
NOT ALL GOURAMIS ARE PEACEFUL.
I purchased Spencer, a baby albino giant gourami (scientific name:

identifying a fish21 Jun 2004 18:44 GMT5
I found a fish in a LFS that I've never seen before, and unfortunately they
didn't have too much information about them, only that they were Australian.
I'd like to find out what their needs are, so... if somebody knows what this
is I'd be very happy!
What happens when a Mollie gets stuck behind the filter?21 Jun 2004 15:40 GMT6
Had a scare with one of my mollies (who was pregnant, I think! big black
gravid spot) the other night... I went to say hello and couldnt find the
white chicky babe mollie, she was stuck pointing straight down behind the
spongey filter in the corner of the tank.
Krib breeding questions re: removal of fry, when?21 Jun 2004 12:20 GMT3
I've gotten lucky with 2 of my kribs, they're doing quite well... except I
think I jumped the gun, and may be putting my babies at risk without knowing
it...
on their second batch, it was larger, and they became free swimming a bit
New Betta! 21 Jun 2004 05:28 GMT5
So, I added a new kid to the family today.. Currently he's all alone in a
TopFin 2 gallon (not the greatest, but he's getting a 5 gallon Eclipse in
about a month). I'm planning on eventually adding 2-4 cories to the tank for
company. Would 2 Panda corys be too much for the tank ...
Community tank recommendations?21 Jun 2004 02:18 GMT4
New to aquariums, and have on order a 30 gal (36Lx12Wx16H) tank. Gets
here Tuesday. Thinking of cycling it with 3 Belted Barbs (Puntius
pentazona). After that, I'm at a little bit of a loss as to what to
stock the tank with. I want a nice community tank where everyone gets
Yabbie Breeding20 Jun 2004 19:26 GMT12
Does anyone have any in-depth websites that describe the process on how to
breed yabbies?
Most sites I have found are very very general. Just describe in little
details how they breed. I am looking into how to make them breed i guess :)
which Eheim to overfilter a 75g?20 Jun 2004 00:53 GMT5
I currently use only an Aquaclear 300 HOB filter with my 75 gallon
aquarium.  I've been thinking that I would like to add a canister filter
to my setup and after my latest experiences with parasites, I'm thinking
of getting a UV sterilizer at the same time.
water Readings20 Jun 2004 00:38 GMT9
As I enter into week 4, this morning in the UK saw me do some more water
tests, after taking people's here advice by adding bits this week to my
tank.
Ammonia sky high now at 4.9 is this my spike?
Sand, Gravel, or Peat?19 Jun 2004 22:39 GMT9
I'm getting a 20gal tank and have been looking into the various
substrates that are avaiable.  The main ones seem to be Gravel,
Sand, or Peat.  My tank _won't_ be planted and will be populated by
a Betta, and either Corys, or Mollies (haven't finalized that piece
Fluval 4 plus questions?19 Jun 2004 21:45 GMT5
