| Bio Wheel not turning | 05 Jun 2004 11:15 GMT | 17 |
I have two Marineland 330 power filters on my 75 gallon tank. The wheels occasionally stop turning. By wiping my finger along the spillway, the wheels usually start turning again. However, one of the 4 wheels is getting harder to get to turn.

| snails vs loach | 04 Jun 2004 23:10 GMT | 10 |
Planted tank, don't mind the snails but they're getting a bit much, and I know they're a significant percentage of the bio-load now (hundreds of mostly malaysian ones). Turn the gravel over nicely, but I'm thinking about reducing the numbers.

I had a brief flashback of "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" earlier, and I started wondering what the best fish based movie of all time would be. So far I've come up with Finding Nemo, Jaws, Splash, Big fish, a few stupid others, and of course The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

One more question -- Frank in alt.aquaria recommended medicated food to me, and I've seen a few others make the same recommendation. Unfortunately, I can't find it *anywhere*. Does anyone know of an on-line vendor that carries medicated tropical fish food?

| orange peels | 03 Jun 2004 12:48 GMT | 4 |
Cats cant stand the smell of oranges. if you grate some orange peel and rub it around the pond the cats wont go near it. Test it on your cat first by scratching an orange and place your hand near the cats face. it also works to keep strays from using your flower bed as a community ...

| Tap water purifier | 02 Jun 2004 15:35 GMT | 12 |
I live in Sweden and I'm planning a trip to the States this summer. I would like to avoid all the chlorine and other stuff Americans get from the tap. I would prefer a good mobile tap water purifier. Do you have any tips on a good one?
