Are rust stains toxic or bad in some other way?01 Oct 2004 00:46 GMT3
I won't go into too much detail about my plumbing, but I used a steel
rod to hold something straight while the glue dried, and now I have
some rust stains on the inside of a piece of vinyl tubing. The tubing
is similar to that used for airline tubing, just a little wider, and

while i have the aquarium light on, it reads about 82 degrees
Fahrenheit, but when i wake up before turning on the light it's
probably about 75 degrees Fahrenheit.  Should i worry about this big
change in temperature?  i'm sure it happens gradually but it still
Emporer 280 problems30 Sep 2004 21:44 GMT4
Hope this is the right place for this problem (also a bit of a vent :) ).  I
have a Emporer 280 filter system on a 30 gallon tank.  This is my second one
to own and out of the blue they will quit working.  The problem stems from
the little rubber knobs on the two ends of the ...

Hiya
My female platy had a small fry about 2 weeks ago and only one
survived (my new record) I was just wondering about my female because
she now looks very large and I am pretty sure she is pregnant and I
Strange Betta behaviour30 Sep 2004 17:41 GMT4
I've got a male Betta that used to be fairly happy just swimming
around.  The temprature and light where I live have started to
increase a bit and he looked happier.  Unfortanelty I went away and my
girlfriend forgot to clean the tank.  It wasn't that bad (one week, in
MY FISH IS A WHORE !30 Sep 2004 14:09 GMT2
Of all the the years of fish keeping, I have here a situation which
truly takes the cake.
To avoid having fry, I have an all-male population of community fish
(which I  affectionetely call the GAY tank) in my 90 gallon aquarium.

New 18g tank: advice please30 Sep 2004 11:13 GMT10
I'm a newbie to the group, and a new, rapidly becoming obsessed, fish owner.
I acquired a new 24"x12"x15" tropical tank set up 8 days ago -- running a
Resun Magi-200 internal power filter.  I filled the tank with tap water
treated with AquaMaster Chlorine Neutral, let the filter run ...

for my filter in UK but I could easily get wine finings. Would these be
safe?

Schooling fish?30 Sep 2004 00:08 GMT11
I have a 55g community tank and I'd like to decide on a schooling fish.  A
friend of mine is starting a tank and when I started thinking about redoing
my tank, she offered to tank any fish that might get misplaced.  I currently
have a small group of neon tetras, and I really like ...
Kissing fish and tank mates29 Sep 2004 20:16 GMT5
Well,  my kissing fish appear to like seafood.  First, one of them ate a
Mystery snail and now my female fiddler crab showed up dead with no legs
(looks like the eye stalks were gone too).  So, will they eat anything
smaller and slower than them or can I get away with a different ...
