| blue green algae | 26 Sep 2004 03:53 GMT | 2 |
Hi, is blue green algae considered to be a serious problem. what I mean is if it gets into an aquarium does that mean that a blackout or blackouts must be performed to remove it from they aquarium because of the speed that it spreads at and the lack of a working treatment in the UK.

I've had snails dissappear in bad times, then come back months later when tank conditions changed. Do they eggs lay dormant?

I got two black mystery snails a couple weeks ago. They were both floating for a day, but one reattached to the side of the tank and the other disappeared. The tank is completely covered. Now I see only one snail, but he is lying at the bottom of the tank inside his shell.

| Egg yolk: what's the particle size? | 23 Sep 2004 10:49 GMT | 4 |
Often one hear the suggestion to use boiled egg yolk as feed for egglayer fry, e.g. by dipping it in water and squeezing out "juice" through a fine cloth. However, I can find no estimate on the size of the particles produced.
