A few days ago I added 7 small tiger barbs to one of my community tanks,
which already contained two corys, two otocinclus, one dwarf african
frog, one flower shrimp (aka wood shrimp), and six neon tetras.
My initial concern was that the tiger barbs might harass the neon

price)!  The LFS guy said don't be surprised if they die because they just

I have a problem. Whenever I try to feed my fire eel, my 3 oscars
constantly snatch up the food before the eel gets a chance. I tried
holding food in my hand for him, but the Oscars constantly snatch up
the food. They manage to take his food even with the aquarium lights

I've just started cycling a Juwel Rio 240 (50g).
However, I can't get the temp down below 80 unless I switch the lights off,
which is no good as I have plants in.

I've a 60l 24" wide Rena tank which is 3 months old and contains lots
of plants, a 1 week old eheim 2210 filter alongside the rena II
internal filter and about 15 fish, 3 dwarf african frogs, 3 golden
apple snails. Water as clear as crystal.

After a year and a half of what I thought were SAE's it turns out they are
the false variety. They eat most of the algae in my tank except the tuft
type. My LFS has said they will take them back for real SAE's. I do like

Hello.  I am seeking sources for obtaining freshwater mussels
or clama.  Where are good places to deal with?  Or do you
have some you could spare?   I especially would love some
species that don't require parasiting fish in larval stage.

So I've got this 700 gallon pool set up in my basement now. The pump leaks
a bit but I don't care much because I haven't gotten a 'lid' for it all yet
anyway. Fish isn't going in for a while.
