that).  Outside the entry way there is a SW tank that is 10' to ...

Coralife Turbotwist Warning04 Jan 2005 16:12 GMT2
After a year, I have now given up completely on the Turbotwist. Decided to
warn others so they can save time and money... and safety.
I had the unit in operation for a couple months, during a routine cleaning,
noticed the quartz tube was full of water, with the UV light.

I have this issue on my hands where i have already gave up on searching for

Which fikter media to use04 Jan 2005 05:34 GMT1
I am running a 50 gallon tank with 13 African Cichlids. I have two filters
attached to it, a eheim 2222 pro and eheim 2213. I've decided to chuck the
2213 and get the 2227 wet dry. I figure I'd have less maintenance and still
have both biological and mechancial filtering. The ...
Quarantine tanks03 Jan 2005 23:42 GMT8
I read here about setting up a quarantine tank
http://www.aquatic-hobbyist.com/profiles/misc/qtank.html
But it doesn't say anything about cycling it.  If I have to keep a
couple of baby  angels or kribs in a ten gallon tank for four weeks,
What's that site again?03 Jan 2005 19:24 GMT6
You guys posted a plant site that was really affordable and informative and
I can't remember it or find it on Google now.
I bought some kind of floating plant and after a day and a half, it
disappeared. My guess is that my snails ate it. They are big ones - their

Help Please!
I have a 20 gallon tank.  It is about a year and a half old.  It is a
community tank with tetras, guppies, peaceful bottom feeders.  I added 3
glo-lite tetras and the tank crashed after that.  I had 16 fish total and 2
Quietest External Filter ?02 Jan 2005 16:27 GMT12
I have a 4 foot tank with a Fluval Biolife internal filter in it.
Whilst it does a great job on the water quality and is pretty quiet
from MY perspective, it's deafeningly loud *inside* the tank.  If I
press my ear against the glass, all I can hear is a LOUD 50Hz hum of
water changes02 Jan 2005 11:16 GMT3
Happy New Year everyone!  First time poster.  I set up a 26g tank
recently with 7 small cichlids.  Went to the freshwater cichlid ng and
got the FAQ (should have read the information before I posted to that
group)
gravel size01 Jan 2005 03:02 GMT11
OK, another question.
I've got one aquarium with plants and am starting another.  Everything I
read says use fine gravel or sand.  None of the local stores have "fine"
gravel, it's all 3/16" or even larger.
