| botia sidthemunkis and threatened species list | 26 Feb 2005 23:21 GMT | 3 |
I just got a few botia sidthemunkis (chained loach, dwarf loach), since they seem to do well in softwater tanks, and I got a seriously soft water tank. While I was at my favorite fish store, the fishkeeper told me that sidthemunkis are on IUCN Red List of threatened species.

| First Loss! | 25 Feb 2005 14:45 GMT | 5 |
Well, I had my first "fish loss" today - one of the juvenile angelfish was swimming on its side, and then upside down, this AM. I moved it to a quarantine tank to observe and try to treat it, but it died before I had a chance to try anything. No sign of trauma or attack.
