Fuzzies!01 Feb 2005 19:23 GMT1
I have always had a minor growth of small (about 1/4") dirty-white
fuzzy things growing? on a piece of driftwood. Whatever they are, they
grow in spots like little tufts of cotton normally on the underside
(shaded) parts of the driftwood. They're fairly easy to remove when I
Guppie questions01 Feb 2005 16:45 GMT5
I have a female, proven breeder, and I've since seperated her from any other
guppies, to allow her to finish her breeding from stored sperm.... 2 batches
later, she's fat again... and then it dawned on me... how many times is this
going to happen???
Bubble counter01 Feb 2005 14:16 GMT2
I've recently set up my new CO2 system, and I am at a loss to understand why
I need a bubble counter! Can I just count the rate of bubbles in the water?

"Awesome Aquariums" in the news01 Feb 2005 13:31 GMT15
Interesting article in this Sunday's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on the
growing interest in aquariums. Some people are paying $5,000 and up to
have custom built-in aquariums installed in their homes/condos -- then
they pay someone every month to clean and maintain the tank. Here's ...
Bio-Wheel doesn't turn?01 Feb 2005 10:33 GMT13
Has anybody else ever had this? I bought this Penguin thing to replace my
under-gravel filter, but I'll be darned if I can keep the wheel turning. No,
it isn't just *really* slow - it just doesn't move. It's almost as if the
water isn't moving through quite fast enough.
Baby Cory!!01 Feb 2005 05:26 GMT20
Well... a year after my return to hobby aquaria, my wife and I have
four tanks.  Various fish in all, and quite a few iterations in
decoration and tank-mates to get to our current spread.
In our room we have a 30gallon, long, HOT Magnum filter (canister and
Betta Disaster01 Feb 2005 04:54 GMT11
Hi, I'm new to googlegroups so i apologize in advance lol. Anyway this
was my original dilemma. I have three male bettas in a ten gallon tank,
separated of course (too small for three? i know..ive been kinda
thinking about that lately...). Anyway, they developed a bad case of
New tank problems - beware long01 Feb 2005 03:34 GMT7
I cannot get my tank to cycle and am lost at what to do next.  Have a
30 gallon tank with several fish in it.  I have been receiving
conflicting info from books/fish store and I think I have it all
screwed up.  Been messing with this for a couple of months.
