While cleaning my main tank today I must have knocked one of the 250W heaters, and broke the glass without noticing it. Later I felt a tingle when I put my hand in the water, but thought it must be from water splashed onto the lights. Eventually I noticed the broken heater. I ...

| tell me your heater tricks? | 31 Mar 2005 05:31 GMT | 8 |
Hi all, I'm getting ready to set up a 75 gallon tropical tank. I like to keep the unnatural items in my tank to a minimum. In the past, I always had drilled tanks with a wet/dry filter and my heater in the sump. I can live with the one intake pipe. So, I'm getting ready to

My son's betta seems to be very sick. I hasten to say he isn't in the same tank as the barb in my earlier post. He didn't turn up for tea tonight so I did a search. Found him at the bottom of the tank but still alive. He's not swimming right and seems to be

| pump selection | 29 Mar 2005 16:13 GMT | 6 |
Quick question, (I hope) I have a 300gph powerhead, made by Aquaclear I think. It really moves a large volume of water if I just drop it in the water. I decided to build a canister filter underneath my tank. I bought some 1/2" flexable

Does anyone have any links they've saved of cool/unique aquarium stands? I'm going to be building one for my 80 gallon tank (48" wide, 24" deep, 16" thick). I'd like to do something different with it than the standard cabinet. I've given thought to putting it between a shared ...

I'm curious about a variation in pH between two 50 gall tanks that I have. Just done the tests and didn't get the result I expected so would be very interested in your comments. Firstly I didn't expect them to be the same necessarily but what I got was the opposite to what I was ...
