| Fish tatoos? | 20 Apr 2005 20:08 GMT | 4 |
A friend and I were talking about tatoos the other night - a topic that comes up every now and again. She was saying how she might like to get fish tatooed - more of an astrological thing for her. But it perked my mind! Somehow I like the idea. I was thinking

| coloured / cloudy water in tank | 20 Apr 2005 01:31 GMT | 2 |
have a tank (70 litre) with koi, doing fine for the past six months - no problems at all. About two weeks ago, the water became really cloudy / opaque. Only change is fish food was changed - started using colour enhancing fish food.

| Cleaners bulging eyes, why ? | 20 Apr 2005 01:06 GMT | 8 |
I've got two questions, first off - I've went to buy a razor blade to finally clean the aquarium's glass since its disgusting how I neglected it. When I started to clean with the plastic blade (no effects on the algea

| Still fighting high nitrites in 25 gal tank | 20 Apr 2005 00:51 GMT | 7 |
This 25-gallon tank of ours, with almost forty fish added to it on April 5 (a week after setting it up and filling it,) still has high nitrite levels between 0.3 and 0.8 despite daily water changes. I've done DAILY water changes- a few 20% changes and a number of 40% changes, ...

| german blue rams | 20 Apr 2005 00:20 GMT | 2 |
I went with my friend to some LFS that we'd never been to the other day because he wanted to get some stuff for his tank, and I ended up stumbling across a tank full of VERY colorfull german blue rams that were about 1.25 inches long. It was written on the tank that they were

| Stubborn Ich problem | 19 Apr 2005 23:28 GMT | 42 |
Since the false imprisonment of one of my bigger Clowns by the Pl*co (earlier post) I have had a persistent Ich infection of my four smaller Clowns - the other two big ones, including the prisoner, are fine. All of the other fish are still OK for the moment including the SAE's where ...

| Small Worms?? | 19 Apr 2005 16:13 GMT | 5 |
I have a friend who claims he now has "small worms" in his tank. What he initially had was a convict and texas cichlid, who mated and laid eggs. The fry hatched, but due to neglect, most of the fry were eaten within a couple of weeks.

| Taking a balanced aquarium one step farther [off topic] | 19 Apr 2005 10:42 GMT | 15 |
This post is a bit off topic but I have a ten gallon tank sitting around doing nothing at the moment and I've been thinking about what I want to do with it. Whenever I start up a new tank (or as in this case restart an old one) I always plan for a while ahead of time to come up

| Who's larva exactly? | 18 Apr 2005 22:27 GMT | 9 |
Just checked on one of my tanks before going to bed. Freaky goings on, that's all I can say. I can just barely make out stuff at one side of the tank using a permanent led fixture I have there. Sort of a moonlight glow. All other lights are off. Eeeeeeeeeeeek! What is that!?

| Fresh Water Lobsters? | 18 Apr 2005 02:12 GMT | 3 |
Of course the pet store bills them as lobsters and sticks them with price tag to match, but I believe they're Crayfish. Here is the question. I have two of these. They came from the same store, same tank, same time. They live in a 150 gal. fresh water tank with a 2'x4' natural ...

| Sizzle | 18 Apr 2005 00:33 GMT | 2 |
So evidently, when you're working in your tank, and you forget to unplug the electric heater, it makes a noise very much like coffee brewing on one of those cheap electric hot plate coffeemakers. I was thinking to myself, gee, coffee seems like a good idea.

| dwarf frog questions | 17 Apr 2005 17:52 GMT | 1 |
Are fungus meds safe for dwarf frogs? Some of my swordtails in the tank have fungus and I want to medicate them. Also, is there a web site that discusses diseases of dwarf frogs? None are sick right now, but I want to read about the subject before it happens. Thanks.
