Just on a whim after getting out of the Salt Water hobby, I tried a deep sand bed of Playsand (About 4-6 inches) in my 80 gallon tank. I'm one of those wacko's that likes to put local wildlife from my vacations into my tank to see how they do. I've REALLY lucked out with some ...

| need advice on getting rid of snails | 19 May 2005 20:20 GMT | 15 |
Thanks to the plants that I added to the tank, I have snails. What's the most effective way of ridding the suckers? I squash ~5/day. The tank has community fish (white clouds, platies, guppies, tetras) and shrimp as well as a bunch of plants.

I just bought an Eclipse System 3 Aquarium. I am having trouble with it ~overheating. Thinking it was the lighting (6W NO haha), I left the lighting off for a day (I don't have fish yet). The temperature did not decline. In fact, it went up - from 81F to 83F. I am now quite ...
