Dead Snails at Wal-Mart26 Jul 2005 03:26 GMT5
My betta's tank is turning green. I was going to get a snail or
two to eat the algae, since some of you think that an algae eater
fish may not be safe with the betta.
All of Wal-Mart's snails are dead or dying. The fish that are
gourami bloated up26 Jul 2005 03:21 GMT2
Ive got a ten gallon tank with a dwarf gourami, a diamond tetra, and a
harlequin rasbora.  Oh I just added a Bosemani Rainbow today.  I'm
looking to get a bigger tank, and wanted to give the Rainbow a try, I
know the tank is probably too small for him.
Wobbly angelfish update26 Jul 2005 03:06 GMT4
To cut the long story short, a couple of weeks ago I got hold of two
adult angelfish to keep my lone male angelfish company. This is the one
that has lost some swimming control and has also lost his breeding
partner. It turns out that the two angelfish I got outgrew their owner's ...
just found a baby in my tank25 Jul 2005 00:36 GMT1
just found a new fish, maybe a little over a 1/4" long, pretty transparent,
its either an Australian Rainbow or Giant Danio, my guess is Australian
Rainbow due to one of my rainbows maturing in the last 6-8 months and now
has a new body shape that none of the other ones have, ...
Another question on feeding24 Jul 2005 18:20 GMT22
Can anyone help me with this: I've been unexpectantly given the job of
fish-feeder during a holiday, and the owners aren't reachable. Now I have
little knowledge about fish, and how to take care of them. Can anyone
identify the 2 types of fish swimming in this tank (see url's ...
Just lost an Otto.24 Jul 2005 03:48 GMT4
I was walking by the tank and I noticed an Otto laying upside down in the
weeds (Hornwort), panting heavily. The Barbs were poking at him, so I pulled
him out and put him in a bucket of tank water with a bubbler. He didn't move
much and had trouble staying upright when he did ...
Eheim 2128 and 140 gallon tank23 Jul 2005 22:29 GMT1
I have an eheim pro II (2128) cannister filter in my 140 gal. tank.  I
was wondering if it was enough to heat the tank or if I need to
purchase an additional heater.  Right now I am cycling the tank and do
not want to use it with the goldfish.
Neon Gourami Problem23 Jul 2005 17:52 GMT2
This is my first posting in this group.  I hope someone can identify
this problem and offer a possible solution or suggestion.
I purchased a Dwarf Blue Neon Gouami yesterday.  Today, I noticed it
has a small bump or growth on it's side.  Does anyone know what this

Is it a good idea to have a pleco in a tank with only goldfish in it?
Can it survive?
Boesemani Rainbow Dance22 Jul 2005 22:12 GMT4
I've kept rainbowfish as dither fish in my cichlid aquariums for some time
now, but this is the first time I've observed this particular kind of
behavour.
This morning two of my boesemani rainbows have been swimming parallel and
So... why am I working so hard?22 Jul 2005 11:55 GMT25
I was reading somewhere that a 90 gallon tank could house 15 mbunas.
(!)  I have 10 in a 30 gallon.  Hmmmmmmm....  I also read that
Mbunas prefer a sand or small pebble substrate.  I have large
gravel.  It also said that UGFs are no good because the fish waste
Benefits of bubbles22 Jul 2005 10:50 GMT17

could it make it more pleasant for the fishes or oxigenate water? do
you recomend it?
Thanks.
Time for an algae eater22 Jul 2005 10:50 GMT13
So we are starting to get the green film on everything (despite no
direct sunlite) and I guess the next addition should be someone to
take care of that if possible.  So far in my 30G I have the three
platies and two new little cherry barbs.  Probably will add harlequins
